I have 1.5 million naira and i want to go to Dubai to buy some things and sell here in naija. Please if you have visited Dubai before i need your advice.

jimrite, 1.5m, is more than enough for u to go to Dubia for biz. However i will advise that u use 1m first, then on ur next trip, u can go all the way. Then i hope u are not new in the biz of buying and selling, becos u must get whatever u are buying right. Becareful not to buy what can be bought in our markets here becos u might not be able to sell at the price they are selling due to the cost u hav to include in wares b4 u start selling and ur customers might think u just want to rip them off.Finally ask a lot of quetions and get them answerd b4 going. One thing i learnt is dat pple are kind of secretive about this Dubia biz trip.

if you wanna go to dubai, here is my analysis. What is the plane ticket price? Hotel cost and estimated transportation cost?

Add all up and what does it add up to compare to the amt you will be spending to buy goods.

Example if all the cost adds up to N100,000. Lets say you plan to spend N1 million. This means that your cost alone is 10% of good. hence when you price your merchandise, you have to price above 10% markup. In other words, anything above the first 10% is your actual profit.

So what it boils down to is that the more amount you spend on merchandise, the less markup margin will be. i.e if you spend N2million to buy thing, it means that your profit will be anything abouve the 5% markup etc etc.

Dont forget other costs like shipping the goods back, customs in Naija, transportation to your shop etc.

If you dont keep these things in mind, it will look that you are making money at first but in actuality you are really losing. Dont be a sucker.

Travelling to Dubai is not always profitable if you dont plan well. May i ask what you plan buying there?

it all depends on what u are going to dubai to buy, actually i'm not into dubai runs but my mum is. the cost for visa and ticket should be in the range of 200,000 and 210,000. and their visa only last for two weeks. hotel accommodation depend on ur taste. if u are looking for a cheap accommodation try galaxy hotel. with 1.5m i think u have more than enough to start with.
