This bum doesn't even know the difference between air-to-surface missiles and surface-to-air missiles. I guess that's why he keeps spouting heat-seeking missile everywhere. This is what happens when folks google shiit without basic understanding of what they're googling.

And now another argument about hitting a target not on the focal point of the coordinate. Check the youtube I posted, and fvck off. And stop quoting me, you panda IQ havin bonobo. Go play with ya fellow village nutjobs! grin

@sirshymex what's in an armed drone that Nigeria cannot operate? What's in a drone at all? Not too long ago, Nigeria MADE its first ever drone and it was being tested at a base in Kaduna. Yes, we made it from scratch to finish unfortunately for you!

Even if we do not have the capability to build an armed drone, what's in a drone and how much does it cost to get one from anyone out there from those who have to sell? You think the israelis and the americans are the only ones with the monopoly to make and operate drones? I am going to post links here that shows we have the chinese armed drones in our inventry and when you see it, let your heart pop out of your chest in jealousy and let your mood be spoilt forever.

I know your feeling so well, it is a familiar one. It is the feeling of a boy who lives in the city (and not even in the best part of the city at that), have never been to the village and all he knows about the village is that which he hears and as a result of that, he thinks he smarter than the next guy who is from the same village. But don't you think it is so stup !d that you judge one not by the work of his own hands but by the naive information he gets from others? I use to be like you until i realized how st u pid it was to behave like that.

That to me is not a drone and if you take a closer look, that was a car and not an armoured tank.
Someone is trying to play on the ignorance of people on this forum.

The drone does not work like a gun where you point and shoot instantly like automatic gun, the drone is mostly used on stationary targets not moving targets because you have to obtain command, then you target and shoot. It works more like a missile not like this point and shoot this person is trying to show.

what are you and @50calibre talking about? Again i ask, what is in a drone or an armed one at that? I posted a link that shows clearly and beyond reasonable doubt that Nigeria does infact operate fleet of armed CH-3 drones with ATGMs. That behicle may not have been a tank but the truth is that we operate that bird and the bird has an anti-tank capability, fact!

If drones are too much of a technology that a 'third world Nigeria' cannot operate or build, what if i tell you that Nigeria is currently building a stealth OPV at the new naval dockyard in PH? What if you learn that Nigeria is currently building a space sattelite completely on its own and with no help from anyone out there? What if i tell you that Nigeria is currently on its way to building a space rocket 100percent Nigerian and that the first place a space rocket is going to be launched in Africa is in Nigeria? For your information, that is going to happen come 2030, fact! If Nigeria can build a STEALTH OPV, what then is in a drone that we cant even operate? I think you two should answer those questions if you've got the gut!

it is a good thing you know that Nigeria built its Gulma and Amebo I, II and III. Anf if you want videos of that i will post it to you.

Again, it seems you did not read the links we all have provided here. The drone we are talking about here is not Nigerian and no one has claimed it is. It is a chinese made CH-3 drone and that drone has an anti-tank capability, fact! It is so unfortunate i can't take all of my time to serch for the pic of Nigeria's MI35 helic in which you can find fleet of the CH3 drones in the background. I think that would have put to rest your doubts that Nigeria actually own and operates those birds.

And no, all Nigerians are not morons. If we were morons we wouldn't have been able to build our latest sattelite ourselves. We wouldn't have been building a stealth OPV as we currently speak. All of us would have been embarrasingly and disgracefully cynical like you and some other people in here. I saw your ad hominem on your other post, but I won't respond in kind cos you and I are cool. But your ultra-nationalism/faux-patriotism is obfuscating logical reasoning now.

I will ask you the following questions:

- how many countries with indigenous armed drone technology can't build fighter jets like naij?

- if Russia hasn't been able to build one (till later this year), why do you think naij can?

- where will a country like naij that can't even buy 4th generation fighter jets get the billions of dollars required for advanced drone technology research from?

Answer those questions and we will proceed from there.

answer to the first question: its all about focus and defence policy and i am sure you know a thing or two about that. That i cannot build fighter jets so i can't build drones is a rather naive question to ask. Like i said, its all about focus. That we have been able to build atleast 4 drones now is a reason to believe that we have deep applied knowledge and capability of aircrafts and aerodynamics. This also means that we can build aircrafts if we want to. If there are things that would be an obstacle, they are not going to be much.

The second answer: again i say it is about focus and defence policy. Russia doesn't have to be able to build it before we can. Is russia not stronger than israel militarily? But israel has some of the best drone tech in the world! The whole idea that if a western country hasn't been able to do it, then a third world African country like Nigeria won't be able to do it is a mentality deeply rooted in colonialism, in my opinion.

Third answer: first of all, drone technologies do not have to cost billions of dollars. That it took the americans that much to develop a drone tech doesn't in anyway mean we have to spend that much to achieve exactly what they achieved ( i think India's landing on mars comes readily to mind here). About why we can't build/buy fighters and then proceeding to buy and develop drones, again i would say it is about focus. It is ourown way of starting a defence industry with the ability to produce fighters in the future. If you are still doubting if we have made a drone before, you tell me so i can give you video links. It is a drone that uses propeller engine and it is for surveillance.

Common sense dictates that you scrutinize information from what you know before you run to links, Gulma and Amebo we know, who the heck is doing the bombing?
Are you not aware that the French is helping with surveillance against Boko haram since Chad and Cameroon joined? these are the little info we know, and common sense dictates we start asking questions from there, do you have problems with applying common sense?

And yes, we have already started by producing an aircraft that can fly using all the basic principle of aerodynamics (drones are basically aircrafts). And no, most countries in the world have not been able to achieve stable power supply. Since you folks prefer to live in your little bubble of denial & delusional, I take it as a personal responsibility to always administer that jolt of reality when possible.

Brazil

Population - 203 million

Electricity Produced - 530.7 billion kWh (9th position in the world)

Electricity consumed - 455.8 billion kWh

India

Population - 1.23 billion

Electricity produced - 871 billion kWh (6th in the world)

Electricity consumed - 698.8 billion kWh

South Africa

Population - 48.3 million

Electricity produced - 267.9 billion kWh

Electricity consumed - 234.2 billion kWh

Egypt

Population - 89 million

Electricity produced - 138.7 billion kWh

Electricity consumed - 122.4 billion kWh

Nigeria

Population - 178 million

Electricity produced - 24.87 billion kWh (68th in the world)

Electricity consumed - 20.38 billion kWh

These are figures from CIA world Factbook so they're are authentic.

Take a look at South Africa & Egypt, countries with significantly lower population than Nigeria, compare their stats to that Nigeria & tell me if this anything short of colossal ineptitude.

Nigeria is just a noise make, a big for nothing sleeping giant. A meagre 25 billion kWh from a country like Nigeria is just heart breaking. The figures speak for themselves, you can see Nigeria is punching well below its weight

How will the economy grow? How will people be alleviated from poverty when they're basically living in darkness? Power is what drives most of these industrial nations, Nigeria is waste country.

Tiny Libya with a population of less than 7 million, produces more electricity than Nigeria & then you think I'm a pessimist for thinking Nigeria can't achieve space exploration in the next 50 years?

Stop hallucination and set realistic goals for yourself. When Jonathan the world renowned retar*d started hallucinating about space travel, I expected intelligent Nigerians to wake him up, instead, you all joined in the hallucination. Soon he'd you guys will start talking of nuclear weapons

Nigeria thinking of drones, is a classic case of building one's castles in the air. Drones are highly dangerous precision weapons with a great deal of complexity on the ground and in the air. Nigeria is no where near such technological advancement, this is clear as daylight. It even took countries like the US several years to perfect (and it's still not perfect, you can hear of drones crashing or hitting wrong targets once in a while)

Then I look at pic of the so called new train system Nigerians are celebrating, and I feel like crying. They look like things that could have been used during the 2nd World War to transport Jews to Aschwitz & Treblinka and to think that those rickety trains cost billions of dollars, is even more sad.

It is really disheartening that we have so many educated ignoramus in Nigeria, the armed forces does not possess armed drones simple. That was just a fake gif.

answer to the first question: its all about focus and defence policy and i am sure you know a thing or two about that.
