However, Electricity markets can be fairly complex and privatization does not mean success. We have seen deregulation fail in the west in places like California with disastrous consequences. Nigeria is still in the elementary stages. The design of an viable electricity market matters.

Thus far, there is no appreciable work done on transmission so I do not know where you see government working tirelessly.
