Well in earnest, if the OP and her fiancee get married, they WILL have shorter than average kids.

It depends on what her priorities are - the genetic
makeup of her future kids vs love for her husband.

Everybody has a deal breaker...for some, it may be sickle cell genotype, for others beauty potential, for the rest, height.

Where does the OP stand in this? Do you fear having short children more than missing the potential love of your life?

If you and your husband are short your kids are very likely to be short.. simple laws of nature, you both have short genes unless by some miracle you have 'tall' genes which are passed on.
So get this out of the way, it is a given, and look at other issues as mentioned above

Its totally unfounded naturally. Short people usually give birth to tall-normal height kids. As long as you are both cleared medically (that you both are not dwarfs), go ahead and marry your guy.

If you leave him, I can guarantee you, it wont take a week for him to get a girl taller than you. LOL, as for your kids, they will always see women like you to marry. Do not worry about your daughters, with high heel shoes, these days, there are no short girls.

as some one pointed out earlier biology should have taught you that even short people can have tall offspring's so it shouldn't really bother you. Personalty matters a lot, as regards height, your children could be taller than you both.

Being just 5ft yourself already shows you're short. Marrying someone who's shorter than you portends danger on the coming offsprings. I strongly think it's not good for two short people to marry themselves. At least, let one be tall irrespective how short the other is. The fact is, though all your children cannot be short, but most will. The tall one(s) will only come from recessive gene.

People are funny! All else being equal, for most people

height matters;
weight matters;
health matters;
appearance matters;
physical attributes matter;
posture matters;
intelligence matters;
education matters;
wealth matters;
cleanliness matters;
confidence matters, etc.

For example, assuming you have the power to choose and marry one of two people who are identical twins. They are identical down to their behavior except one weighs 100 kg and the other is 1000 kg, which would you choose? About the only reason you would choose the 1000kg twin is if you have a major fault of your own and you feel the 1000kg twin will be more accommodating.

Secondly, my brother(s) have a mind of their own. They are men enough to choose their own wives and live with the consequences of their choice. In my family, we don't do the allow/disallow choice of partner by any member.

Lastly, you were quick to attack her but conveniently turned a blind eye to those hurling insults at her! Did she start insulting anyone? Or gave them back a taste of their own medicine?
