A colleague of mine told me, about the conversation he had with his wife this morning. Basically it goes like this, His wife told him this morning that they needed a car seat for their new baby, which he was fine with. His wife now told him that the seat will be fixed in his own car, and he asked his wife why the seat should be in his car when she herself has a car as well( The seat should be in your car, as the mother of the child, it makes more sense and it is more logical.. those were his words to his wife) The wife now told him that if he doesn't allow the car seat to be in his car, then he is either ashamed of his child or he is cheating on her. O boy, my guy came to work today and was kind of shocked at his wife's accusations (wetin concern car seat with cheating) I now asked him why he didn't accuse his wife of the same crime since she equally doesn't want the seat to be in her car? .... And he was like see this woman dey tear eye for me, that was where we ended the conversation and everybody went back to work. This conversation got me thinking. So my question to NLers is this... should in case you and your wife are having a child, who should have the baby seat in their car, the Husband or the Wife |

If they both have cars, what is wrong with fixing the baby seat in both? If one car goes bad and you would need the other, wont the baby seat be fixed there? Let the baby seat be fixed in bth cars jare. simple. 1 Like |

The wife seems to have issues.It's logical to fix it in the car of the one who is with the baby most of the time. They can simply get another car seat and fix in both cars as someone said. 3 Likes |

The wife already had thoughts in her head before that the husband was probably cheating on her after she gave birth. She was just looking for any opportunity to bring it out in the open. Its quite absurd really. Unless they can buy two seats, its only sensible that the seat should be in the mum's car as the primary caregiver of the child. 1 Like |

some women love making mountains out of molehills and I think the woman described by the op is making such. Hubby should oblige her if he has nothing to hide and just as other posters have suggested, they should get two baby seats. One for Hubby's car, the other for wife's car. |

The baby seat should be kept in the house, anytime the baby is being driven out, the seat will be placed in the car being used. Those seats aren't hard to fix, just attach it to the car seat belt and voilà - five minutes tops. This is a non-issue and the wife is just being insecure. 3 Likes |

Paranoia/ Insecurity or she's just looking for trouble.  Car seats are car interior worst enemies. My husband details his car once a week , mine once a month... Mine takes much longer time than his. Car/booster seats habor chunk of dirts (cookies,wraps, chips), and wreck leather seats. Gosh . So why would they install them permanently in their cars?? Men are exclusively picky and neat with their processions/toys . Lording them over it is looking for trouble. hubby puts his in his trunk and affix them only when needed. ( I don't like that truck anyway so who cares and I'm starting to think he bought it for a reason). OP tell your friend to buy his own set and put them in his trunk or keep them in the garage and fasten them when needed. Simple. #yall too bellefull dey look for trouble #1 Like |

I'm sorry, have I missed a clue, how is this even an argument? The seat will live permanently in neither car because it will be swapped whenever the child goes from one car to another. In a house with multiple cars you wouldn't even fix it until you knew which car the child will travel in first... |
