This Owo in Ondo State is becoming notorious for bank robberies.

The geography of the town makes it highly susceptible to criminal activities.
The town is in the middle of the forest belt stretching from Edo through Osun, Ondo, Ekiti to even Kogi State.

The foregoing makes it easy for daredevil armed robbers to frequently target financial institutions in the area knowing that it is easy for them to escape through many connecting roads.

I think the government should site an army barracks within the vicinity of the town. These demon-possessed robbers have scant regard for Nigerian police and therefore carry out their nefarious activities as if the police do not exist.

So many promising lives cut in their primes. God help us in this land!

Sad! The high spate of armed robbery in Nigeria is an indication that our government doesn't care about us - the ordinary people. The first priority of any government is the protection of the lives and properties of its citizens. When that golden priority isn't met then that government could be rightly termed a failed one. And that sadly that's what this government and others before it is. Our politicians and their families live in fortified fortresses and move around with body guards while ordinary people are left at the mercies of armed robbers, murderers and all the evils that be. I weep for my country Nigeria
