I've said this thing b4 o, this super eagles team shld be disbanded asap save vincent, maybe mikel, echiejele and musa. Our under 20 boys should be drafted into the main team cos walahi those boys play like the super eagles of old we know. This present crop of SE will keep bringing shame to our football oooo! Ok na...

Freak, freakish goal in reply.....out of nowhere. Poor, poor eagles team.

It's the coach that is the happiest...didn't want it to look like his defeat against nigeria in Calabar was a fluke .....and certainly it wasn't a fluke because they out played the SE in that match.

Bafana do dot deserve to lose they out played our boys aside from the Ahmed's moment of brilliance ....fair result

All is not lost yet. Nigeria is trying to mould a new team and we took some points off the South Africans in the ranking because we drew at their home.

Friendly matches are meant to trying out new players and get some discoveries.

Expect too much from Eagles at your own peril. Our senior team is at the highest low yet 'ogede-ogede' no fit beat us, it means SA needs a miracle to crush this jinx.

Which Team B?? They bundled our team A out of the nations cup...and they nearly embarrassed us at Uyo.

I think they are frightened of Nigeria. They have always played well but lack clinical finishings, is either they narrowly miss or they shoot straight at the keeper. Don't forget that this match would easily have been 2-1 in their favour. If they had scored that penalty, I don't think Eagles would have equalised.

They only need to overcome that psychological barrier preventing them from getting a good result against us.

Btw.. Anyone here know anything about Ejike Uzoenyi??

The match was very dull.Eagles were not playing well, just relaxed and the ref was against the eagles. I Cant wait for the u20 boys to become SE players.I know that even the u20 cant be playing like this. We were not attacking the SA guys, Mikel did not play the match, yet we saw many passes backward from the midfielders. Very annoying match. Our defenders were just relaxed, our attackers did not have any vision, no team work.Nigeria SE has alot of work to do,even we had an opportunity to score another goal but Ighalo wanted to go for glory instead of passing the ball to another player that was unmarked to score.

Daniel Akpeyi is the only positive in the match,Leon is too soft for a defender.

when the SA boys drew us 2-2 in uyo some idiats will say that the stadium is jinxed, now that the super vultures have drawn the SA 1-1 in s/africa, what then will those idiats say?

9ja fans I think say una talk say na mikel obi be una problem. onazi no gree improve after nations cup triumph and worldcup experience yet unable say na mikel. we were slow and ponderous on the ball, lots of unnecessary back passes yet una blame one player. even people like omeruo don't have business playing with SE right now and oboabona has been disappointing lately. efe Ambrose is perpetually rooted to the bench at Celtic yet he was our right back for many years. I can go on and on, but my point is that even though mikel isn't as creative as we might have liked, the team had other more serious issues like I pointed above but we overlooked all that because we were prejudiced about Mike.

You are very correct my brother, I got things mixed-up but I think in fairness we need to rebuild to the point where we can beat Bafana on a good day like 4-0 and beat them well any time we meet them subsequently otherwise, they have this belief and adrenalin kick if you will whenever SE is mentioned because of the dip we've suffered.
