The bloated body of a policeman, identified simply as Inspector Sapi-run, who jumped into the ocean in Lagos on Tuesday night was, Wednesday evening, recovered. The late Sapirun, who was reportedly attached to Dan Ocean Oil Company, according to eyewitnesses, was seen walking to and fro Ikoyi Bridge screaming that he wanted to die. Most people concluded that he was drunk.

At a point, an eyewitness said, he stood in the middle of the road, but all motorists reportedly avoided him. An eyewitness, who gave his name as Mr. Chionye Maduka, said: “It happened precisely at 9.08pm on Tuesday. “When he saw that no motorist wanted to hit him, he ran close to the newly-constructed Ikoyi Bridge and jumped into the ocean. It was like a movie.”

Type of people we have in Nigeria. Someone is in the middle of the road for a car to knock him down and nobody did anything to save him even when the suicidal tendencies were glaring.

Nigerians need to change this crazy mentality of "if it is not me or my family then it doesn't concern me"

April 1st 2015 will go down in Nigeria's cherished history as the day that Nigeria's latent democracy reaches its full potentials. This is not because Gen. Buhari won the election or that the opposition is now the ruling party but because Goodluck Jonathan has set a very enviable precedent of conceding defeat, accepting the rule of law and bracing up himself as a statesman that he is. History will forever be kind on him for this SINGULAR act that has created peace (for now and hopefully all through this period) and elevated his person from the defaced public stage which it danced on to a Nigerian hero. Jonathan, I must assert, is the CHANGE that we have been waiting for albeit, his unveiling was in the most unlikely of circumstances.
That said, it is important that we understand that Gen. Buhari deserves this victory -not just for himself- but for the progress of Nigerians. I've always seen this election as not being between two people but between two ideologies and parties and to be frank, the PDP is known to have a battered public image and a questionable ideology. Perhaps this could start their redemption. General Buhari has taught us a lesson in perseverance, patience, hope and fortitude. Jonathan has taught us a lesson in statescraft, honesty and pride. These two men are the true HEROES of Nigeria. Let us give the outgoing president a majestic departure rid of violence and the incoming president, a royal welcome to Aso Rock, the most controversial place in Nigeria.

I stayed all night, watched Channels report all through. Even when PHCN failed, as usual, I streamed it live on my laptop. When my laptop battery died, I streamed it on my tab. I didn't miss any part of it. It's not only because I want to see the outcome but also because I want to say:
Happy New Month
Good Morning
Congratulations to Nigeria on gaining a step ahead in Democracy.
Good bless us all.

I disagree with you. No one knows the real reason for his act. Insanity would be a better conclusion than cowardice.
