[quote author=MamaTobenna post=32250236]Hello people. Los Angeles mama reporting. Got all baby's documents, awaiting visa from Tanko. Got my zero balance from hospital. 2700usd for a two day stay, epidural, tests and paediAtrician fees included already. Even hearing test is free. Doc was 1500 plus 262 first appointment. So for those who have family in Los angeles. It's not as expensive as most people think if you have someone u can stay with. [/quote

Congratulations Mama Tobenna.

Can you please share the doctors' detail? My email address is miracletwins01@gmail.com. Thank you

Hello good people. I have been a silent reader here. I live in Middle East and working. I want my wife to give birth in US. My salary is over 14k and company provide accommodation and transportation. The only but there is dt I just joined ds company in mid December 2014, though I have been working in living and working here since 2012 dec. When I joined ds company I closed my former salary account and transferred to the new company bank. I want to apply by May. Then my salary would have been 4 month with d bank.

My question is. Can I apply with it been 4 month bank statement?
And is d salary okay for yankee visa?
Pls my people. Advise me.

Thanks.

Hello people, this question might look somehow but if one is pregnant before an interview and the issue of being pregnant did not come up throughout the interview and a visa was issued and the baby is due to be born very soon, will there be consequences if they find out one had a baby there without mentioning it? replies will be appreciated. thanks grin

No one here is a visa officer for US consulate Dubai. Hence any info anybody gives u on here has a high chance of being incorrect.

Go to U.S Dubai website and find out what it says about ur situation, and read FAQs. Better still call them and ask.

People should remember this is not a one stop U.S embassy website for customer service, b4 someone gives u incorrect advice and u go and get denied!

Send an email to the embassy informing them of your change of intent.
If you read through this thread, there are many instances where this issue has created a problem for preggies and they were saved by the letter. Esp now that CBP officers are not smiling, thanks to the chinese elites!

Hello Guys,

Please I want to ask; Is there any issue/wrongdoing if I use correspondence for Hospital "X" in lets say Arizona when applying and interviewing for a visa and when I actually get to the US I use Hospital "Y"in lets say Texas; which is in another state entirely.

Will I get penalized the next time I apply for a visa?

Pros in the house; kindly advise.

Like what Shawbabe said, no one is a visa officer here, but to me I think your salary is okay, based on what you wrote, I lived in GCC too, and that salary is a good one for an expats from Africa, which of the middle east are you from, if you are based in GCC, either UAE, or Qatar, or KSA, those are the 3 countries your salary can be up to what you said...(14k) you are good to go based on the conversion rate to Naira, your salary should be almost 759k/month that is if you are in UAE or Qatar.

Do your home work by contacting the embassy in your country of residence, and have enough fund to cover all your expenses in the states, with God on your side, you will be given.

Best of Luck..

Hi. I don't know if anyone has answered you but i was in NYC Dec and I got my baby's passport same day.. fortunately, my SIL who I went with knew someone there so he expedited the process..All u need are:
1. Consent letter from both parents(it doesn't matter if you are both present) You will still be requested to write it.
2. Data pages of your passport.
3. Pre- registered confirmation form.. just google that..
4. Payment of about $80 electronically..(you will take confirmation along)
5. Processing fee(Money order of $30
That's about all.
If you need to get asap, you might be asked to pay another $60 for expedited..

Oh, be ready for one Madan Igwe or so, can't remember her name..She kept on rambling and rambling leaving her duties just to come and be gisting with all applicants!

Thank you my sister... I just went with the visa o but I used Tanko as he was cheaper than Ed. We are now back home.

Hello people,

please I need you to help clarify somethings o.

1)went to hospital today to make payment and I talked to them about letter of zero balance but their response was that They only give receipts.

2) for people that have used epidural, did you have to pay for epidural and still pay the anaesthesiologist who administered the epidural?

kindly help out.

Thank you

The same response I got from my hospital and doctor, so my plan is make a copy of the quote they gave me, along with the receipt and my bank statement as proof of payment to show the embassy when they ask.

For epidural, the fee I was charged covered both the medicine and the administration. This is in florida by the way, not sure where you are, you should ask the hospital just to be sure you don't get any surprise bill afterwards.

Thank you Shelly23.

I am in colorado. I have the quote and receipt but I don't understand how you want to use your statement to. I paid with cash.

As for the epidural, I actually have a self pay package that says epidural is covered. only for them to say I will pay the anaesthesilogist myself. And someone that already used the hospital mentioned that she paid like $800 for that. Just wondering that if epidural is covered in the package and what am paying is just the services of the person to administer it, should it be upto that $800. meanwhile the $800 is said to be after discount.
