I did exactly the same! I only realised that something was amiss when my skin started to peel and I asked my friend who could read German if everything was ok with my cream.

Wow. A lot, a lot. Where do I start from sef

Went to a big mart to buy something to replace "swallow", and ended up buying starch, the type for washing clothes!

I used hair conditioner as hair cream for over 6 months! It was sticky and itchy but I said to myself "These chinko pipu sef" undecided

China; I was hungry and went to a restaurant to eat, I ordered one fine soup I saw on the menu (their menu comes with pictures of the dish, a kind of a la carte). I waited for ten minutes for it to be prepared, when it was served with chifan (rice) the oil in the soup tasted like kerosene. I could even eat the rice, I felt so uncomfortable at the strange taste in my mouth and left the restaurant & trekked a long distance to a Nigerian restaurant that I know.

Vietnam; I entered a barbing saloon beside my hotel as a was looking for a place to shave, the whole people inside were just looking at me and laughing, I discovered their shaving\barbing method is different from the one I know because of the nature of their hair. I had to stay a month & 2weeks without shaving & returned to Nigeria as if I has been in prison.

China, always having a complimentary card of my hotl on me so I can give to the cab driver when I'm going back, else I would get lost because they always pretend not to understand what I say.

There was this particualr incident that I followed someone to a place in HongKong, then I wanted to go there myself the next day, I entered bus 224 like we did the previous day, I ended u stopping at the wrong bus stop and had to call the person I wanted to keep in the dark about my movement that I was lost.

I was later told that every animal could only be slaughtered at the abattoir. There they have mechanized way of killing animals so there is minimal pain for them.Cutting the throat of goat with knife caused the goat psychological pain and trauma which amounted to cruelty to animal.I was booked!

I find this very difficult to believe.there's a great difference between liquid wash and body lotion. Yet you didn't feel something was different and besides the store you must have bought it from did keep it in dish washing section or so.

France
In a restaurant I ordered "steak tartare". Not knowing it contained minced raw beef with on top of it a raw egg (google it, you will see!). My face at the moment I discovered it must have been priceless....my friend still bringing up this story at any occasion.

France...again
I wanted to handwash my clothes in the sink of my hostel but instead of buying liquid laundry detergent I grabbed the fabric softener liquid. I was so focussed on finding something nice lavender smelling...

Italy
I was still teenager back then. It was a very classy restaurant where there were fish tanks all around in the interior, even through the glass table you could see fish swimming while eating. You were supposed to point on the fish you wanted to eat and they wld get it for you. I was very fascinated and impressed by the whole experience. When I got a lobster I did act like I was experienced in dining out but I had no clue how to eat the poor thing. I started chewing and chewing. Trying to hide the cracking sounds in my mouth. In the meantime, I tried to act like normal but I started to feel pretty uncomfi. Didn't manage well to keep the conversation going with my mouth full of hard things. I didnt dare to ask the company i was traveling with. Didn't want to come across stupid. Just my face when I spied at other tables and found out that you were not supposed to eat the shell and I was about to leave an empty plate...

Many more embarrassing stories in stock cheesy
