your course of study is not the issue. the issue is mother Luck and the God factor to help u get a good job on arrival.

Boss,u suggested that it's better someone should get a two month tourism visa first for job searching, my question is that what is the percentage or probability of someone getting a job withing that time frame. And if someone is lucky and get the job, will the person come back home again or will just stay back over there and start the work. Thanks.
Re: Ask Me Any Question About Career In Dubai by slimup: 12:20pm On Mar 29, 2015
Now, the UAE offer 3 months tourist visa and yes probability is high if u are not selective of a particular job type or position. If u leave your mind open to any job for a start u will surly get one. Yes most companies will ask u to return home for visa change, some will say go to Oman or kish others can pay for your immediate stamp out and in as though you traveled out. It all depends on how urgent the company needs your service. But for me I think u should worry less about it for now until u get a job first.

Re: Ask Me Any Question About Career In Dubai by slimup: 7:27am On Apr 08, 2015
@ integrator, you have a good chance to get placement in any of the oil firms in Abu Dhabi, with in the 3 months period u will be on ground looking for job. How ever, I will still advise like always leave your mind open to accept any other job for a start should u fail to get the desired job u really wanted. Gain the mandatory 2 years experience thereafter, you can continue the search for your rightful career choice and with God on your side, plus the experience you would have acquired, you will sure get the job.

pls. send me a PM to start with. And as far I know people aged 20 years are still coming into Dubai till now. it all depends on your agents contact. And yes some times the job can really be stressful and slave like but if u are lucky your story could be different. Not all Nigerians here suffer some have the best jobs that the Emirate can provide and this, make good money out of here. The choice is yours to make. Life is all about taking risk.

Hi Slim up,
I applied to Petroleum Institute Abu Dhabi, for a 2 years MSC program, I will like to if the recent immigration laws affect those coming in for studies and the prospects of a foreigner trained in their institution to get a good job proportionate to his/her qualifications.

It does not apply to student visa, and yes if you graduate here, they will treat u like one of them because its their degree not ours.

Re: Ask Me Any Question About Career In Dubai by slimup: 7:30am On Apr 14, 2015
visa is about 150k same as ticket but it could be less depending on the time of travel. your three months accommodation would be like a 90k plus transport and feeding u can factor that yourself.
Re: Ask Me Any Question About Career In Dubai by slimup: 7:33am On Apr 14, 2015
@ kabir, you can get a job for both but like I keep saying u must keep your mind open and ready to do other things in case u do not get the job @ the first instance

Pls what are my chances, I studies computer science and wish to travel to dubai with my fiance who studied geology and settle down there. Can we both easily get a job and how comfortable is life their for couples
Re: Ask Me Any Question About Career In Dubai by slimup: 12:50pm On Apr 17, 2015
u have high prospect but note that jobs here are not really what u bargain for. if u want to come with your hubby it will mean long suffering for u guys because one of u may be luckier and it may be difficult for the other person to hang on. Anyways if u guys want to arrive together no problem be rest assured that u would need Gods grace above all to succeed. As for comfort, u got all u need here. u would enjoy the place really good. Food is cheap only accommodation is high but if u get jobs, ur companies will take care of that.
