You're right man, serving in ibadan or other local government outside ibadan comes with their advantages n disadvantages, am currently serving in Itesiwaju Local Government, I must confess d cost of living is so low, kopas are valued n respected, accommodation is free for all kopas, u may not spend a dime on transport as u may be given free ride even in most cases your ppa maybe close to ur lodge, if you are the type that loves to eat u ll be served steady by your neighbours but u need to be careful wt dat tho and lots more, but all dis don happen in ibadan aside the fun of being in the city which may require u to have another source of income to really enjoy the city,so the choice is urs.

I also saw somethings during camping at iseyin camp with batch C stream I....I don't want some hungry people to dupe de novice because he/she wants ibadan. If you are posted to ibadan fairly, take it, if you posted outside of ibadan fairly, take it and don't cry foul...

U re better start strategizing asap And put urself together. By now u need no news as to where most corper in Ibadan are being posted except u have someone in house who can Help u get NBP, IITA etc, if not na na skul tinz. Posting u to skuls in itself may not be bad as skuls in places like lanlate, ibarapa, eruwa, shaaki........etc. Lol......... By th name self, u go don understand what the situation will be like except u really wana explore. However, as a serving corp member in ibadan here who faces damn in my own time,I will lik to advice everyone here to try come to ibadan latest by monday to look for schools either public or private in a conducive environment And demand their request letter to be included in their files in camp. with such, u can such places as ur ppa. I have a school in iwo road that I can help just 2 ppl to get request letter but FEMALE ONLY....

Importantly, I should make it very clear to everyone who intend to work their ppa's to ministies that u might be very unlucky at the end even if u get it. I am telling u this because I have pple who are victims of such circumstances. I will get nothing more than the 4k state allowance and u will work from 8-4 while other corpers who work in public skul will also get the same 4k and work from 8-2. Also, public skul copers usually have sufficient time for other things and on fact can take up many professional exams with the time.......

I dont know why am telling u all this but I believe u should noy witness the kind of thingz I witnessed b4 I became stable here. If I had sufficient info about all this tinz, in fact.......

Lool...redeploy to where? Lagos or ogun that's extremely filled up....oyo state is big. After orientation camp, many corp members will be redeployed to oyo state

Sir, am not discouraging them...I am serving in ibadan, so I know what's up....rent of 105k, 120k etc in ibadan for one year is cheap right?? In lagos I barb for 200h but here in ibadan I barb for 400-500h, dat one cheap?? From iyana ipaja to oshodi under bridge,you can get N50 bus. From idi-odo(felele round about) to dugbe is N70 etc

Just telling them the truth so that they won't waste their time to lobby for ibadan when other LGAs outside ibadan are really okay, cheap and stress less and they will be treated like mini gods...

Honestly ibadan is damn expensive i almost regretted serving there people dont care if you are corper they are ready to milk you dry.



It as it own advantage thou like doing some courses nd having some connection, depending on what you want and your plan.


command pays 8k so if you can find your way to command fine accomodation inclusive.

also if you are a statistician or an economist just make sure you partake in the data analysing that will give you a favourable ppa.
lastly if you want fun choose ibadan
enough place to flex all your allawee.

That I promise wount be a Problem because I understand what it is like coming to a state where u dnt know anybody or a place to stay. When I first relocated to ibadan, I use to go from ife to ibadan everyday tI'll I got my own apartment...
