for those of us that can't distinguish which way leads to which as at now, I want to ask this:

Is Abia state (Umuahia) after Imo state (Nkwerre) or before?

Which of the destinations is most plied?
Considering someone is coming from the SW

From SW, you arrive Nkwerre (Imo state) before you arrive Umuahia (Abia state).

Most plied?
It depends on who is going where and from which departing point in the SW.

But going from the SW to Umudi nysc camp, and you have no time to waste, tight finance, the easiest route well plied is:

from anywhere in the SW, go to Benin to Onitsha to Orlu. Most luxury buses end at Orlu, unless any very unusual occasion of any bus going to Umuahia through Orlu-Nkwerre.

At Orlu, take taxi to Nkwerre N60; from Nkwerre trek (or keke with N50) to nysc camp at Umudi.

Yes, but it is very rare to get a bus from Southwest going to Umuahia through Orlu through Nkwerre to Umuahia. If there's one, it would be the easiest to take such bus and stop at Nkwerre.

Bros with all due respect; that is the route the buses now take. I am serving in Ehime-Mbano which is not quite far from Aba and Umuahia. All the times I have gone to where I am serving; I have always taken a bus to Umuahia which always passes through Nkwerre and Orlu

If anyone is in doubt; go to a motor park and ask before hand the route they take to Umuahia. But I'm very sure GUO motors (that is my preferred transport company) takes that route.

I don't want us to confuse the new guys. But from what has been posted so far; it would be seen that going to Owerri before going to Umudi is a very wrong decision.

Camp is not the best. There are issues with water; light; food; even accommodation. There is no fence which means u have to shine ur eyes always and be ur own security. Also there are flies--loads of them including electric ant also known as skirt and blouse. It'd be best you go with an antiseptic and a mosquito net. any other questions?

To everyone posted to Imo; you are welcome . If coming from any where in the south western part of Nigeria; don't board a bus to Owerri. Instead; board a bus going to Umuahia. And alight at Nkwere junction. A bike of 100 would take you to camp from that junction. If you proceed to Owerri; you'll spend nothing less than 500 to get to camp. first advice to u all is dont let dem overcharge u, from Owerri to umudi camp shouldnt cost more than 500 (dat is if u are using dat route), some drivers will tell u 1500 or 800, dont fall for dat!
*** i will advice u go early to camp so u can easily pick the best place to stay!

U too sabi book. One final thing, shine your eye well in camp. Most of those that come to give lectures are scams. Try as much as possible to find out from working professionals the certifications that would be useful to you in the labour market. Belive me, those guys get sweet mouth. Also, gnld came to give us a lecture while we were in camp. So shine your eyes!

U're on d right track. From Orlu junction, take a cab to Nkwerre. Tell d cab man U're goin to NYSC Camp Umudi. He'll know where to drop U. After alightin from d cab, take a bike to camp.
