Do you know that the igbos have a natural agricultural product aka natural resources that is far better that crude Oil and the mean price of a barrel of it per annum is far higher that crude?
The more you look the igbos the more you snare up yourself.
The igbos are creative, high perseverance, hate laziness, like providence and money though some love it which is bad.
Home sweet home is always the thought of an igbo man. You might see him struggling and patching in rooms in lagos or any other city, my lovely dear, please visit his (the igbo man's) place then you will understand the wisdom of the ants.
Their natural resources has more derivatives than crude oil and better... Why do you think they are crying to be left to go even if the others (south south) don't want to?
They believe so much in themselves just like the staff of moses was called a mere staff by others but it was a power... The little stones and catapult of david was nothing to others but it was the key to the door of liberation, the clothe of elisha on the hand of elijah in the presence or river jordan... Igbos are a blessing to Nigeria and so are other tribes so learn to respect them just as the igbos should also do to other tribes.
Why don't you meddle with them to discover the secret of such uniqueness they have then you'll overwrite your intelligence and heart with a positive momentum of great positivity.
Thanks and be blessed!

Awwww stories that touch!

How does that change the fact that Igbos forsake Igboland for Yorubaland?

Listen to yourself, you want Nigeria to work, but you have vowed not to contribute to the development of any other part of Nigeria but the South west? #patriotism?
How did you know Igbos do not invest in igboland? Since you have said yorubas don't invest in igboland, who else is championing the growth there?

You are a profusely illogical being.

Igbos are non-consequential Did l hear you say that? Ummm... Yes we have oil, but I've never seen Igbo man proud in Oil. Rather we take joy in hard work and healthy competitions. If oil depletes, how will the government generate tax if her citizenry isn't competitive? We need each other to survive.

Lol if the oil depletes, Igbos presence in Nigeria will be inconsequential. Not because of the tiny drops of oil in igboland. Igbos are stuck because if we let you go, we'll have to let Ijaws go. We can't have that now, can we?

Kudos to the OP. Until people (especially Nigerians) start to make utterances based on their own personal findings and not the opinion of the crowd, this constant bashing of one tribe will never end. And the truth will never see light!

Yorubas must validate Igbos existence before igbos feel a sense of "self".
And be more specific, he was talking about Anambra state. So if it's like Lagos, why do Igbos troop to Yorubaland?
Ans why do your houses look run-down anytime someone post pictures of Igboland? Just asking ni o

The only reason why it seems like Lagos is better than Anambra is because they have access to the see. That's the simple truth.
You can't compare Lagos market to that of Anambra

An Ibo guy who has spent all his life in South west is here denying his ancestral land by claiming to be a Yoruba man.

I wouldn't have disputed your submisdion if you had claimed that the Anambra you are talking about is in Ghana or Gambia.

I have been to Anambra, Abia and of course Enugu. Those places are nothing but glorified towns; the only exception is Enugu which look more contemporary than d rest. However, comparing Enugu and Anambra to any state in south west except Ekiti state is an insult to all modern and cosmopolitan cities around the world. Structurally, Honkg Kong is a beautiful country compare to old looking Britain but in the comity of nations around the world, Britain is far above d league of Hong kong(administrative ties with China though, permit me to state that cos I don't need lecture about that)

The rest of that region is nothing but shallow land filled up with 98% ibos. There's nothing cosmopolitan about the entire region and the reason why other Nigerians don't go there hit me instantly.

Who is this yoruba thing? Stop fooling yourself. Ebonyi the least developed of all SE states flaws all SW states minus Lagos.

The one key difference between Igbo Villages and Yoruba Villages are the buildings.. An Igbo Man would go and build a Killer Duplex in the village complete with Longspan Aluminium roof, Alumaco windows, steel doors, tiled and may even park a car there for good measure, but the Yoruba villages are mostly filled ancient houses. The first time I drove from Port Harcourt to Osogbo, it was like a shock. The Yorubas however may have big houses in the city o, compared to the Igbo man who may just be living in a modest bungalow in the city. The Igbos do this for the bragging rights and also out of fear of losing their priced assets again should another war break out like in 1967.

But that not with standing, I love Yoruba parties.. The Igbos are good o, but leave it for the Owambe crew.. cool
