Granted, he has the right to contract marriage from anywhere but given that he is a politician inter alia, why Cape Verde? Does it mean there is dearth of comely lasses, junoesque in this country? That's my major snag with the shebang.

What you have here is a very misplaced concern. The governor like every other Nigerian citizen is under no obligation to marry only Nigerians.
