How do you even report the death of a baby? This is so sad and my heart goes out to her parents. The reigning Pears Baby Queen Somkene Chukwuka Eze died on Friday May 15th after she slumped in her school and was rushed to a hospital in the Magodo area of Lagos. They tried to revive her but to no avail.

According to her aunty who reached out to LIB, Somkene was a very happy, active and lovely baby.
 The fact that she was an Angel can never be over emphasized. Everybody loved her, in church, school and even at her parents offices. The joy that she brought to her family and all of us in her two years knows no bounds. She turned 2 years May 6th" her aunt said

She won the Pears Baby competition when she was just 1 on June 8th 2014. LIB wrote about her winning HERE. So sad to learn of her death. May God give her parents the strength to bear this loss. Rest in peace, little Angel.

Forgive me if I'm sounding old skool, but I'm sure this child was killed spiritually by beef and wickedness. How do u think some parents would feel when their child lost a competition (especially the bad parents) and see another persons child been celebrated. Next thing na to truncate the pikin life o. Some bad people can kill someone thru posters, so if u are not strong spiritually don't just post ur pix anyhow anywhere else na spiritual fight for u always. Anyday my wife talks about using my child for any promo or advert or any competition will be the last day she will ever make any decision in my house.

We should be very careful of what we expose our innocent children to. The world is wicked, especially this part of the world.

Also, it could be that the child fell and hit the head on a hard object without the adults taking proper and adequate care of the child.

There are questions to be asked from those whose custody she was. Were there signs of illness or any prior medical condition? Hope she did not fall or involved in any accident which they may want to cover up. RIP to the little model.
