On my way to work this morning I saw the man pictured lying down below allegedly slumped while jogging in the early hours of this morning at stepping stone junction satellite town.

He is between the ages of 55 and 60.

His son was going to school and saw him there too.

The most painful thing is people have been seeing him lying down there since early this morning and when I asked them they said they thought he was resting after jogging.

It's very unfortunate people have just stood there watching him for hours without doing anything.
Hope he's still alive?

I think camera phones should be banned in Nigeria. People are now money interested in reporting stories than rendering help.

Actually...it isn't a super story.

Thing about exericse.....start slowly and build it up.

The problem with the man was that he probably had not been fit for some time...and decided to get back into being fit by jogging....when he should have been WALKING.

The advice I give to my patients who are fat and unfit and want to change.....The best exercise you can do is to start walking.

That is how Stella Damasus' first husband died.....trying to lose weight by doing strenuous exercise...when he would have been better walking.

And you my friend....do you exercise? Take a walk for 30 minutes today. And do it again tomorrow. And every day .You won't regret it.

Good he has resolved to do some form of exercise. He should take it in bits. Better if he consults a trainer/gym. I wish him well.

Blood pressure naturally rises up early morning till midday when it starts to descend. If you have an existing uncontrolled high blood pressure, there's every tendency that you might suffer a cardiac arrest at that time of the day if additional pressure is put on the heart through a vigorous excercise as jogging.

Whether you're young or old, before you put on the jogging gear ascertain what your pressure is!

Nobody knows how to try and resuscitate someone who slumped. They all stood there watching like nollywood movie. Long way to go

Jogging can be dangerous at times. Two weeks ago before going to church, i decided to do my routine. I noticed my breathing was ceasing while jogging i have to stop and managed to walk home. Through out the day i was unable to have deep breath, my wife advised me after praying about it in church to do push up which eventually helped me.
