Ideally, I would like a new world class striker but that isnt going to happen because Rooney has to play ( according to LvG). I can only accept Rooney in the starting lineup as a number 9. I dont like it when he plays anywhere else.

For that to happen, RvP knows he must now accept a place on the bench as the sub for Rooney upfront. Wilson either on loan or enters the rotation with either.

team A plays 50 games with no break
team B plays 30 games, went on break for 3 weeks and then played another 30 games.

i said the break they had for 3 weeks is the deal breaker. that break is refreshing to their muscles, tissues & what not. the wounded spend much time with the physios & by the time the knockout stage of CL resumes, it's like september for these teams.

come on as a sub after the new striker must have completed the task required. he should be the 3rd choice striker at best. we need 2 world class strikers. goal scoring is one of our biggest problems, the defence didn't do badly although we have de gea to thank for that!
