Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has begun the construction of 500 housing units in Kaduna for its personnel.

Commandant General, Dr Ade Abolurin said at the foundation laying ceremony of the project in Kaduna, that it was part of the corps welfare package for the personnel to encourage them serve the nation better.

Speaking through Hillary Kelechi, an assistant commandant general, Abolurin assured of the corps readiness to discharge its mandate of protecting critical public infrastructure in the country during the forthcoming elections.

The commandant general stressed the need for continued inter-agency cooperation among security organisations so as to collectively secure the nation.

He commended Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State for allocating 69.78 hectares for the housing project. in the offing.....
