Nigeria is a very horrible place for descent human beings. The leaders are barbarians to let things degenerate to this extent where students now look like animals. Jeez! This is very annoying. Something needs to be done about it before that country turns into anarchy.

This should not be allowed to happen in the first place. Don't they have a functioning library? Btw, the government need to invest more in EDUCATION. The classroom is not up to standard.

so u bathe outside too

No I did not bathe outside. I had some course mates in the hostel. In my first semester of my first year, I was staying in a hotel along ikorodu road by jibowu bus stop. It is owned by a transporter that goes to the east.A day was N1,500. I stayed there with one other female student. We contributed N750 daily. After a while, we got very broke. We couldn't even eat. We already spent every money on accommodation. As a student, paying N750 daily is not easy at all. I sold my phone to those guys that have shops close to the railway to raise chop money. Then I moved to living in classrooms.

Oga wen u don't know sh1t, u gerara out of here men..

Sure u did not read d OP's thread..

@topic.. seriously I spent some days within d skool last year that even when d hostels re opened, its only a few that gets accommodated out of the increasing population of the student due to new courses nd the Bsc education students recently introduced without a corresponding increase of hostel.

The worst part is that Bakasi hall that houses male students was divided into two, females now use a portion of it.

Only God knows wat art complex will look like cous as of 2003 I was a student there, they re d only "KINDS" that practiced this new phenomenon..

YABA D GREAT...

op,you are a fuccking liar. I was once a student of Yabatech. in yabatech there is no accommodation for part timers,so some part timers do pass night in the classes while some full timers sometimes do come into the classroom to read. most times, this kind of condition happens during exam period for par timers. no one should believe Op.
oga during your time the students were not as much as now.

OP what's your point?

Some people sleep under bridges and you are complaining about people sleeping in classrooms?

Perhaps the school should open a satellite campus somewhere with more land and accommodation.

Education has gone to the dogs in Nigeria. They are not educating our children. They are exploiting them. They neglected government schools so that their own private schools will attract more students. That is why almost all of them now have or are shareholders in private schools. The children of the poor are deprived of good education, but the children of the rich have good education in their private schools from nursery to university. Only few children of the poor can excel and succeed after suffering these horrible indignities in government schools. If you see the hostels of YABATECH and other government colleges, polytechnics and universities, you will vomit at first sight. These poor students live like dogs. The incompetent and corrupt administrators cannot even provide ordinary boreholes for regular water supply to the hostels with terrible toilets and they cannot provide simple solar panels for daily solar power to provide light for the thousands of poor students after collecting hundreds of thousands of naira from them. That is why majority of poor female students are forced into prostitution out of frustration and desperation, because they want to escape from these horrible indignities in the hostels of government schools and do whatever they have to do to graduate and succeed in life to break out of the vicious circle of abject poverty. And unfortunately, instead of the church leaders to demand for the improvement of the quality of education and living condition for children of the poor in government schools, they prefer to exploit the bad situation by tasking the majority of their poor congregations to raise funds to build private schools which at the end of the day, the majority of their congregations cannot afford the high school fees for their poor children. So, the church leaders also build private schools for the children of the rich and not for the benefit of the children of the poor masses who they terrorise to pay their tithes from their meagre salaries that cannot even provide three square meals a day for a poor family. But the poor also make things worse for themselves by their foolishness to breed more children they cannot even feed well and suffer them gladly. These students now forced to live in classrooms are the unfortunate children of the poor who end up in these neglected and badly managed government schools. The vicious circle of corruption and poverty will continue with terrible consequences of horrible tragedies of crimes, prostitution and intellectual backwardness in Africa's most populous country with the largest economy, but where the majority of the people are poor, because they are cheated, exploited and underpaid by the greedy employers of labour and corrupt political leaders in government who are evil and greedy title chasers and not nation builders. They are not fighting at the National Assembly for the sake of the poor masses, but for their own evil greed for power. This Nigerian nightmare is not our Nigerian Dream.

The poster, what you just did is called 'cheap blackmail´. All the f***kers above me that trooped in to bemoan the fate of these Yabatech students ought to take the left turn when next they pass through Yaba.

Be sensible for once and tell me if those 'sleeping' subjects were not doing so for the purpose of the snapshots.
