this is known as! BEDFORD a.k.a Agbe-igi-lodo, very rugged with the major problem been cold start. just pour petrol in carburettor and ignite it, let it burn for few minutes and you are good to go.

That's a 60s-ish cadillac eldorado!-me thinks. The car's pretty darn huge- parked my '99 Suburban next to one a while ago and my 'Burb was the shorter one! :O .

I wonder what the toyota 'big for nothing' haters will say when they see this one!

When you mention classics to a Nigerian, he only knows Europe & Asia, perhaps the Ford line. Rarely would you see someone conversant with the GM lineup.

Nigerian in this context meant cars used commonly in Nigeria. Cars the average old Nigerian resident would recognise. Same as the way an average old American would recognise the Cadillac.

I've seen that type of vehicle but white colour in Ibadan, a traditional ruler was in the rear while being chauffeured. Looks cool.

Thanks for coming in to rescuse MotoringNigeria.

Further tips: it has a 7.1 L straight 6 engine with a supercharger. Top speed was 190km per hr and was the fastest car during its era.

I didn't reply you cos apparently you took d whole thing from fun to personal but lemme burst your bubble.
I really don't ve to prove anything to you but to show you that I knew this, go through my "pictures of the day" posts, I posted the picture of one right here in lagos nigeria also to be precise the top speed is 190km/hr.
Am sure Whizpeter can testify although I still don't get why he used the word "vintage"...lol
