You forgot the Scorpion automatic system which can be mounted including the "chinese rocket launchers".

I mentioned the Chinese rocket MRLS Mike. Got the diameter wrong though. They're 107mm. Forgot the 40mm AGL, the Milan ATGM, the 2-tube Ingwe and the 3-tube Starstreak. Not bad for a golf cart size, eh?
Of interest, their Supply Unit guys tested some Navistar vehicles not too long ago. Personally I think they should complement the Hornet with the RG32M.

Dude those other superpowers are not as paranoid as US, the chinies PM came to Kenya, there wast traffic jam above the usual for our own president, he went to a park and he did'nt seem to be having any protection.
The US president is a totally different issue, If you have not had him in your country, wait till you host him/her then say that. The US has undermined securities of so many countries, outside public eyes including yours,(you might even find them to have more intelligence on BH and its financers than you do- and you might wonder how the hell the acquired such info)
its because obama has enemies, remember Mubarak visit to ethiopia.an assasination which almost killed and from then he never attended another A.U meeting.

I assume you know why Special Forces the world over, opt for greater mobility over protection, right? They're not infantry for goodness sakes.
As to your question, 8 Hornets equipped with 12.7 and 20mm MGs, and type 63 MRLS did spectacularly against Seleka, thank you very much. Of course no commander should ever have to use SF that way, but that's another debate.

I know Col Dixon says his heroic 200 would have scored a victory over the almost 7000 Seleka, if he had 2 Rooivalk. The Paras acquitted themselves exceedingly well. I've seen Battle of Cassinga vets cry when Col Dixon narrates the odds at Bangui, and the Paras who fought and fell there, but as a planner I'm still 50/50 whether the battle would have turned from a draw to a victory if we had 2 Rooivalk or 2 Bateleur MRLS.

Academic yes, but picture this:

1) targeting the Mpoko Bridge front where 35 heroes (later joined by 15 for the last 2 hours) from Big 5 held off 2000 for 6 hours; and not forgetting the 7 Tactical Int guys in their forward OP with their Cytoon gear who detected the breach and proceeded to call in 120mm mortars to delay the enemy whilst 5 Recce proceeded to interdict;

2) taking care of the Damara Road front where only 3 companies not only stopped, but whilst possessing the mobile element of 5 Recce, managed to actually push back a whole brigade of Seleka infantry and their technicals.
hey! What is that device on a tripod at the back of the rear MLRS? That same device is at NAF training command. I see it all the time.

Alshabaab declared Jihad on Kenya and its western interest in the country, so we should expect all the precautions even though Nairobi hasn't had any incidents these days. I still don't believe the Mubarak assassination attempt in addis when I read the story, the audacity of it.

Ethiopian military jets launch airstrikes in Southern Somalia

Africa Union fighter jets on Tuesday launched air raids against Al-Shabaab camps in areas near the town of Dinsor in southern Somalia, local officials said.

Mayor of Gofgadud district in southern Somalia Ahmed Gadid told media that the aim of the bombing was to take the villages from Al-Shabaab fighters before a capture of Dinsor.

“This military campaign is part of a major operation to remove Al-Shabaab from their strongholds,” the mayor said. “Government forces and the African peacekeeping force will soon enter the town of Dinsor.”

Residents told Xinhua that they saw military jets flying down near Dinsor.

“We saw military jets flying down, and after a few minutes we heard huge explosions,” said resident Mohamed Osman.

Not bad indeed.

Maybe they will when they receive more funding to expand the unit.

when american special forces went to afganistan they went with toyota pickups but when the threat of IED increased they changed to using RG-31 MRAPS.Todays threats are changing exponentially ,todays insurgents are armed much sophisticated weapons e.g ATGM and the environment conflicts are taking place don't provide stealthiness

You do know the SANDF still uses of the some the old SADF doctrine where applicable right?

The only threat against that vehicle would anti-personnel land mines.

at the NAF Training command there is that device infront of an array of 5 mobile radars on mercedes truck. The smaller radar is on the truck above a box-like structure while its also towing a much larger radar at it's back.

I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO TAKE PICTURES BUT I DONT WANT TO BE HARASSED UNNECESSARYLY.
