Abeg you and @AriseOCompatrot should end your quibbling. I felt you could have been more diplomatic (without compromising your point) in your initial disagreement with him, but I agree with you that he took it to a different level of attack and pettiness.

@AriseOCompatrot, no vex o. We all benefitted from your MBA admission story, so no personal gripes against you.

standupguy:

Ogbeni you are the one taking things too seriously here, plus this your " IGNORE THE MESSAGE AND ATTACK THE MESSENGER APPROACH" is quite classic. This is a public forum you should know that every discussion here is meant for public consumption so when I hypothetically said 2-3yrs is had nothing to do with you. For what its worth you did not refute any of the misinformation you dished out there which I tried to debate and correct.

What program did yu apply for?
badtsharpguy:

The mail says
To facilitate your arrival in Canada, inform the officer of the reason for your visit (study or work)and present this letter with your passport.

Why I am confused here is that my passport is with them in Ghana as I submitted via the Paper route, so I wonder why they are giving me this STORY.

So therefore, I am asking has anyone got this similar mail prior to the passport being dispatched and visa issued

Although I'm yet to get my trv, but from my experience with other embassies, it is not unusual for the embassy to first contact you. You got that mail because your visa has been granted. Your documents is still with them, but soon would be sent to VFS, it is after then, that vfs will contact you to come for your documents......if I were you, I would start making preparations for flight and accommodation. But you can still ask the elders who have gotten their TRVs sha.....

u have spoken well

Honestly there was no single agression intended in my previous post.
He compared MBA earnings to PGD, I merely pointed out the disadvantage.

His post mentioned schools popularity, I pointed out how that doesn't affect anything including job hunting.( His post also agrees with this)

Finally he tried to insinuate that only MBA leads to 3yrs PGWP which is false and misinformation.

The self absorbing, delusion reeking creep can't even discuss the misinformation he went so deep his rectum to pull out

@ vikmeek:

I would advice you read thoroughly through the school's website for more information.

-Started Jan 2015
-Yes got sponsor
-Response to application is relative, If you have a supervisor its faster. However, deadlines are given on the schools "how to apply" page

To the Elders in the House(that have gotten their TRV), did you get a notification of visa approval prior to receiving your TRV?

it possible to convert visit visa to study visa over there?

Hmm...

Who says oil (liquid) is not allowed? Except it's specifically not allowed in Canada. The general rule I know is, it's not allowed in the cabin (that is carry in ur carry-on luggage), and it applies to toothpaste, cream etc that is beyond 200ml or so, but they can of course be checked in (that is kept in the main luggage) and it is legal. Except if Canada specifically restricts it, just like UK and some other countries restrict milk and some other stuff.

Lol..I bet u must have gone thru my posts..I believe any civilised country controls influx and would choose its citizens first above foreigners, and wouldn't want to have a situation of population explosion where resources generated cant match population growth. Whether they choose to freely let this info known to the public is of less concern. And really u can't feel the effect of a quota system until u have a spreadsheet of countries applying for visa showing percentage of total application for study visa by each country, side by side provinces with most percentages..

Don't mind my jargon....If I were working for CIC..I will own that spreadsheet..

Don't think palmoil is allowed for long distance trips. Its usually taken out at the airport in Nigeria, some people try to frEeze it for it to be allowed in tho.

my guy your visa has been approved. . . VAC never pick up your documents yet. when they do, your assigned bar-code will be scanned in their system and then you will get a notification saying your documents have left ACCRA. go and start looking for whia to find cheap ticket...

Well I'm not sure there's any Canadian region at risk of such population explosion yet, I may be wrong though, but it does actually make sense to have a control system.

Anyways when I submit my app, I will stay away from this thread temporarily to avoid unneccesary excitement.

NNE Thanks. Does it mean that there is no other way except to gain an admission and start the license and registration process. How tedious can it be, is it legal, what about my young family?

Are those field the most sort after or where they have shortage of nurses?
Then, how expensive can it get?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, I need to get out there and experience the real nursing.
Yes dear, unless u r a citizen / PR, study permit / postgraduate work permit is d doc that can grant u legal status in Canada, and most provincial Nursing colleges (d final stage of licensure) would ask for proof of that. And u can only get it if u first apply as a student.

2. Those r d Fields u can get into easily in Ontario colleges without a Canadian practicing license.. Other provinces sometimes require u to have a practicing license 2 take these courses and they r mostly of shorter duration.

3. Licensure would cost btw 300-500k in Naira (Max). This estimate includes fee charges, courier charges, et al.. I encourage ppl to start the process from their home country, as it reduces ur waiting time here in Canada. Max it can take is 6-18months, depending on d province. To begin d process, visit www.nnas.ca

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by thesoj: 6:49pm On Jul 24, 2015
It's all good bruv.

On another note, I strongly benefited from your earlier posts about your previous delays that were due to "insufficient funds". My sister got delayed for the same reasons (no other reasons ticked, only funds). Your post-mortem about your GCMS was very informative! We have now paid for more than one year of tuition + accommodation and included a detailed spreadsheet breaking down her costs and funds available. It made no sense why she was initially refused given that the bank statement was eight times more than the total tuition and accommodation. We think the VO had reservations about the sponsor's commitment as well as the fact that we didn't include my sister's SOA. We now think we have plugged every hole in that area. I am on this forum primarily on her behalf... she is super busy with work so I figure I'd be her "agent", lol.

Thanks for your contributions! Any updates on your study permit application?

Lol, na wa o. Naija for show! Never traveled with palm oil anyway......was only curious as to why the other person said liquids are not allowed! I've had to trash my body cream and shaving foam at BWI airport, but I was given an option to check it in for 25usd. Trashed it cos they were almost finished and dont worth 25usd.....

These people study charts, they make projections..They can plan like 5years to 10years ahead..They have data, they can stirr it where they want it to go. This is what we lack here.

Talking about staying away after ur app. Cool, it will help take away any tensions bt ur heart will still be here. Bt if u are up for knowledge, I will advise u come in once in a while, sip some kunu or zobo and read comments..
