My dear locally made 4m dish is about 120k While 3m is 45k. I don't understand why 4m is that costly compared to 3m.

Thanks a lot

I guess is because of the materials and the demand.3m is handy while 4m is massive.
Then you get so much more on 4m than 3m.

I'll see if I can buy that receiver of urs. Sir
Very scarce. Another problem with the soso server is it cannot be renewed now. There is a new account called viva server which is replacing the soso server but don't know whether it works on osn.

That is a great difference and an unfair comparison. Just because it is a local fabrication. Must you kill it with a sledge hammer. Compare with a dish of equall measure then your condemnation can stand. My advise. Tinker with the lnb type and let us see a different perspective.
I asked earlier on the recommended lnb type and only got one response.

Abeg how much is this tlink decoder ?
Forget tlink and buy ibox phenomena 3030, tiger z950, mini x4, x5 or x6. They are cheaper and almost the same.
Tiger z950 =23000 with 12 month gshare
mini series =22000 with 12 month soso/viva account
Ibox phenomena 3030=10,000 but with 3 months account

To my esteemed gurus in the house, NILESAT or HOTBIRD? (ur opinion, especially if the dish were to be stationary).
If its for on FTA, nilesat takes the day but if using account, nothing beats hotbird in my opinion except sky UK.

Will have to enquire but the last time I checked it was 37k. You can go for a tiger cos it does same but with Tlink, I can create a server and reshare my account. Tlink 900HD runs on windows while tlink 600 n 300 runs on Linux.

Hi guys, for those of you hooked on the satellite Hotbird and Astra 19e
Oraxxge Fraxce caid 0500 and ident 032940 is working for months now as you are aware
But for anyone to enjoy the channel, is really recommended that you use a prio file to make the zapping really fast! Not using that file will make zapping really slow and the general performance in this package, so also is CSAT (from Astra)
The prio file is just to prioritize one card (or more) instead of others, and that will make efficient the general performance when a provider uses more than one CAID/ident, like happens on CSAT and Orange Package.
The CCcam.prio will Ignore and Prioritize some CAID and Ident, making the whole experience much smoother and faster, which is especially important for CSAT and Orange, where many Idents are used
The prio file is a much known file, but not all receivers support that. You need native CCcam to use it. Other receivers have that support, but not all of them. E.g. dreambox, vu+, Technomate etc.
About the "CCcam.prio" file, you just need to place it close to CCcam.cfg file, on /etc/ folder (or on /var/etc/ on Enigma1 box's, like where you have the CCcam.cfg). Just that folks
Happy viewing

WHY WE GET FREEZES ON SOME PACKAGES LIKE SLY ITXLIA NDS
Some and most people in Africa complain so much about freezing on many packages/Channels in Africa and they conclude the “Server is Bad”
But most of the problem depends on these factors
>> Your ISP (internet connection) your ping
>> The location of the server (Is it far from you?)
>> The ECM timeout of the package/Channel
If the server is located very far from you…..for instance in Europe and you are in Africa…….you need a very good/low ping to connect to the server in Europe
What’s ping……in lame man’s term, the time from your house to connect to the server in Europe
Every package has a ECM time….the time to change the keys that open the channel…..the keys that give you video….it varies from package to package
Sky Italia which is NDS has 600ms and most packages have 10000 or 15000ms
Nagra on hispasat has ECM time of 15000ms and the same nagra from Spain is 10000ms
What does that mean 1000ms = 1sec
So 15000ms is the same as 15 sec….so it will take 15 secs before the keys are changed…..sky Italia has 0.6s, yes very low ECM time
So if you take an ECM after that time you get a freeze.
You need an information of the ECM time added to your ping time to know the minimum ping so as not to get freezes, a good ping should be 100 or 150ms added to ECM time
So for sky Italia 300ms or 350ms + a good ping of say 100ms, that gives us 400ms
Which is 0.4sec…..and the ECM time is 0.6sec….so u pick up the ECM before it’s timed out, so you won’t get any freeze
>> How do u check your ping?
Type cmd
ping 23.57.27.289.1 (the ip of the server)
Then check average and maximum
You can get the ECM from server owner or google
Thanks
Those experiencing freezes on qsatx…you can carry out this investigation
