The Authenticity of this storyb is still sketchy, though is a Lesson but the Story might completely be a framed up one. I doubt which gong will still a Car and carry the ATM card to bank for help, which might further expose them. Again how was the corper traced when its only on Camera same day? it takes weeks to trace one who used another Person's ATM card provided the owner of ther Card can recognise the person

Is there any bank that doesn't have ctV cameras installed at vantage points around the bank premises asides the camera that is installed in the AtM itself?

After reading through 80% of the comments prior to mine, i've finally come to the realization that the hearts of Nigerians are inerently wicked and hypocritical by default as we seem to look for reasons to justify meanness and cold-heartedness rather than taking the high road and helping strangers.. even if its to our oun personal discomfort @ the said time.

Yet..

Afterwards on Sunday, all of una will go to church and wave "holy-hands" and claim born again Christian but yet will turn a blind eye to someone in need of help that you can render with relative ease.

No wonder this country still dey backward!..

There is a camera on every ATM machine and the face of the other dude should alzo be caught except he hid behind the corper. At anyrate, the corper is not smart. I could tell you what to do at the ATM but will never personally do them.

He will only suffer but will regain his freedom. There is a defence in law known as alibi and this will avail him once it can be proved that he was not at the location of the car robbery.

They will simply check the timing of his transaction against the spooled statement to get his account number, then from his account number they can get his phone number. It wouldn't take up to 10minutes.

Something similar happened to me some few months back.
If not for the mobol men that witness everything and later stood as witness in court na only God know where I for the now.

Were d corper got himself in trouble is when he decided 2 take d ATM card and started punching pins as if d card was his. As far as banks and security agencies are concerned, that is no longer helping. It is fraud. If u want 2 help, u have no biz slotting in an ATM card that isn't yours and then trying several pins at d instance of d "owner". U let d "owner" slot in his card himself and enter his pin(while u back away). From then on u can "help" without u handling d cash 2b dispensed

am sure they must have called d next of kin..

The only assistance I can offer is to stand by a considerable distance and give you directions on how to use the atm machine. I doubt the authenticity of the story but one has to be very careful when helping strangers these days.

sometimes because you wish to help or be good often lead to crime. I sometimes refuse to help strangers especially when it has to do with address or money.

However, by virtue of the bolded.. despite all we holler and wail about our economic climes and the sortcomings of our leaders vis a vis providing quality living for the teeming populace, we can't assume to be on the shorter end of the stick socio-economically and stress-level-wise compared to Afghans, Zimbabweans, vietnamese or even Calcuttans yet these people have more love amongst themselves than us.

My take is dat the the guy banks with diamond, CARD belongs to DIAMOND
He obviously made withdrawals for the said thief and for himself,that means double transactions(wit access ATM) and they were able to identify him through diamond records
