It's not opening all the channels. It opens only 4.

the picture quality of the receiver is good but the present user interface look like the old Strong receiver (SRT4650). The user interface from the previous patch look awesome. SRT 4950 series are nice receivers but the problem is that most of the users are not conversant with the receiver.

Just my take on dstv and canal+africa,in 2010,i made a bold decision to get a 3.2m dish.for d first yr i use jsc sport card on nilesat.d following yr i moved to hortbird with tlink hd 4 another yr.In d last 3yrs i only spend 7000 per yr to watch what dstv want to milk me at d rate of 11000per month and i still enjoy fta along,irib,tv national,many more and what i spent in d last 5yrs is not up to dstv subscriptn for 2yrs with dish instalatn,so more cash 2 spend on other things.The koko is to be free from dstv,i encourage us all 2 work towards getting our own BUD.NOTE:I STARTED USING BUD IN A RENTED APARTMENT B4 MOVING TO MY OWN HOUSE,SO DONT LET THAT BE A PROBLEM.

Waooh, I finally gat Intelsat 20c at 68.5, such a sweet savour. Easiest way around is attached a Ku lnb, track Intelsat 20ku remove the lnb, attached the c band and you will surely hit green

I cannot get Sony package on Intelsat 20C, the highest signal I got was 68%, I have twicked the lnb as much as I could but Sony no show. Others are showing, HBO, CNN, WUTN, NHk etc.

Could be because of dish size. I got everything on it with 2.4m. It has audio but no video. Aljezera is 90%, Sony Kix, Mix etc is 78% but my decoder is messing up my efforts. Just found out that it has stopped accepting Keys. Even TV3 biss is not working on it. I will do factory reset tomorrow. I tried creating new Keys inside SECA where other powervu Keys are located in 4950h to no avail. But I noticed that the update didn't come with Sony Six Keys, it should be inputted.

CTL connects bein sport and some other FTA to show movies , sports n what have you. they have an mpeg4 decoder like startimes own, ahuja/panorama antennal, guess they still use down converter.......

one would want to wish they are Lagos atleast to reduce the burden of dstv.. But are they really stable

@routsz. You have a clear view of d Clark Belt.So d tree shouldn't pose a problem.Fine tune ur setup.68% is poor on MYTV

@brainy02. Yes CTL is very stable.But as pofolo said,their services are confined to few cities like Enugu (HQ),PH,Ibadan

I normally use 68.5e and 22w

@EMMAACHILE. Yes you can use 68.5E and 22W as reference points.And track with Ku band as C band is very compromising.

No,but i intend 2 try fuji gold and eco anytime i have d chance 2 go 2 alaba.i want to do this because of some unstable HD during d day and may be they can add like 2% increase in signal 2 my foxsport during d day

you should follow this process that I illustrated with picture to solve your problem. When you get to the third step, press left side volume button on your remote for the language to change from Arabic to English.

I greet d whole house.i just tracked down intelsat 20c @68.5e yesterday night on my 1.8m dish loation Abuja-Nigeria&d signal is stable.i got all d HBO,CNN &SONY KIX PACKAGES that are locked with power vu keys.my problem is how do i unlock them cos my decoder is 4669xii it does not have power vu keys.pls gurus i need urgent helps.

you can edit Power Vu keys but on your remote, press F1 button and 00 and scroll to seca menu to access Power Vu keys.
I'm sorry for have not replied you last night, I was very weak. Here are the pictures where you can access Power Vu keys on Seca menu.

with strong mpeg2 receiver. you will need aljazeera TP 4064H upto to 74-78% before Sony package will show:aljazeera TP is stronger by +27% against Sony package 3900H...
