One more thing. ALL CAR MANUFACTURING IS CAR ASSEMBLY. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. CAR PLANTS ALL DO THE SAME THING - ASSEMBLE VEHICLES USING COMPONENTS OBTAINED FROM COMPONENT MANUFACTURERS.

It is only in Nigeria that people make a distinction between 'assembly' and 'manufacturing' of vehicles, due to semi-literacy, inferiority complex, and lack of exposure. IF YOU MAKE THAT DISTINCTION OUTSIDE THESE SHORES, YOU'LL BE THROWN IN A MADHOUSE.

Nigerians are not patronising him cos of where he comes from unlike Dangote.

His people are haters and Nigerians are full ready to pay them with their own coins.

my friend stop this nigerians thing and say yorubas instead ok. nigerians dont hate igbos but yorubas do and we are fully aware of that envy. but the funniest part of the whole stuff is that igbos tend to thrive better and soar higher in an atmosphere of yoruba hate than in their support cos as usual its going to be a doublefaced support which is catastrophic.

whats the difference betwen an assembled car and an imported car an imported car was assembled elsewhere, what local content went into this car ?can you point out 1 thing that is indigenous in this car other than the name innoson, lets stop deceiving ourselves. embarassed
Some of the components of the cars were imported while some other components were made right there in Nnewi. Besides, most of those working at the assembly plant are Nigerians. This is a leap forward. We must commend it.

stop being Stu....pid. Please help yourself. Jealousy is driving you mad!

Read this carefully:

Last year, the Federal Government introduced an automotive policy aimed at discouraging the importation of wholly assembled automobiles and encourages local manufacturing in October 2013, it seemed implausible, but after companies like Nissan and Hyundai were able to successfully set up assembly operations in Nigeria, indigenous company Innoson unveiled its new brand of cars last week.

Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited founded by Nigerian industrialist, Chief Innocent Chukwuma unveiled its new cars – IVM Umu and IVM Uzo manufactured at the company’s Nnewi plant in Anambra State, South east Nigeria.

According to them, 70 percent of the parts used in the manufacture of the cars were locally sourced, serving as a catalyst to the emergence of a local car manufacturing industry that will in the soonest future serve the region

Already, the company has disclosed it’s plans to take its brand to neighboring West African countries, with the Republic of Benin and Ghana on its radar.

The company had earlier impressed Nigerians with its range of trucks and buses.

Unlike before, when indigenous brands rarely had domestic patronage, which usually stifled the growth of local indigenous manufacturing companies, Innoson brands are already
enjoying growing local patronage.

Former governor of Anambra State where the Innoson plant is located, Dr Peter Obi had become a frequent buyer of the locally made vehicles by the time he left office. Founder of the car-making company, Chukwuma said Obi still patronizes his company.

Nigeria’s Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) is expected to soon take delivery of Pickups made by Innoson.

Still dont get the illiteracy of most Nigerians.
Apple is an American company but they still buy Samsung (Korean company) processors for the manufacturing of iPhones and iPad.
I keep telling people that a black man is inferior to a whiteman if he cant accept and support his own.

Hahaha!!!!!! The most loathed tribe in Nigeria and outside Nigeria is Igbo tribe.

Go on Facebook and see how much Northerners hate you guys with passion. I am only praying against a war in this country cos Northerners' hatred towards anything Igbos is second to none.

You were making sense with your comment until you made mention of the sentence above. Are you a Japanese or a Togolese, that you labelled Nigerians with such word.

Kindly choose you choice of words carefully, because next time you use such word, you might be hit by a moving train.
If I am Nigerian, then i guess the moving train would never hit me because there are basically non/less functional there.
