If you read my post properly, I wasn't referring to all easterners but the few ones trying helplessly to entrenched tribal division among Nigerians. Before now, you will agree with me that very few youths care about tribal appointment, regardless who got what, as far as there is development, but all of this innocence has been replaced by tribalism and ethnic difference orchestrated by no other tribe but the igbos.

Why should the igbos be different from the over 230 tribes or so? So pathetic that other neighbouring tribes from the Niger delta, idomas and Igalas who naturally should be an allies of the igbos would rather distance themselves. This should be a source of concern and a moment for soul searching.

We can't continue like this while the rest of the world is marching forward. If this thing continue, I tell you only a matter of time everyone will begin to avoid the igbos as a plague, only that the good ones will surfer the brunt of the misguided fellows.

No..it is the tribe they look at (And religion).

Right now...I have looked at the comments here, and I have absolutely no idea about the chaps previous performance, or whether they are qualifed for the jobs. However.....I am hearing comments either rejoicing that ''my tribe has gotten a job'' or ''we are being marginalised''.

The amusing thing is.....the appointees so far are not important posts. Like Customs for example....and immigraiton. We have not yet appointed the Minister of the Interior...who they would be reporting to.

You know something.....the comments here reveal something wrong with the Nigerian psyche. It seems that we think that if someone from our tribe or state gets a job in Aso Rock....we can now have development. Well...there are 350 tribes in Nigeria. What if your tribe loses out to the other tribe tomorrow. ? And let's be honest....Buhari cannot please every tribe. I don't think any Nigerian leader has appointed people from all tribes in his government.

You Nigerians...regardless of who is appointed into Buhari's govt.....development does not begin when your son or daughter gets a job. Now...I know the South East has lost out. Does that mean the SE will never ever get developed? What are their governors and LG chairmen doing? Put them to work for you. And that goes for any tribe that gets the jobs too. Just because your son is now ''Mr High Ranking Government official'' does not mean that the road to your village would be fixed. Your son has other duties. Meanwhile....your governor and LG chairman are there. They want to work for you . Put them to work for you.

Honestly.....the way we focus on Abuja appointment.....are we really ready for true federalism? Is Buhari's new SGF going to be running Adamawa State as well? Is the new NNPC CEO also the LG chairman of his local government area? Is it their job to bring dividends of democracy.....when they have other things to do?

Nigerians are a lazy and parochial bunch. Time we woke up from laziness.....and got to work.

Only in your preconceived mind. And if there is any truth in what you said, then the igbos must change certain perception people hold against them. How can one tribe out of many claimed to be hated for just no cause?

My worry is that, it was the same believe or assertion that gave birth to the civil war. These are memories we wish is long gone. Why doing the same thing of pouring indignation on others and expect a different result? I am not Yoruba and I have never lived in Lagos, but to any discerning mind, the Yorubas are accommodative so also the Hausas to have allowed Igbos thrive without oppression of any kind. These are signs of togetherness, but turning around to abuse the privilege will always lead to chaos and indifference.
