Hospitals presumably equipped for vbac includes:
Baylor medical centers
Texas Presbiterian hospitals
Methodist medical center etc.. Google for more

Vbac friendly obgyn around dallas area includes:
Yolanda - baylor
Charles Griffiths - presbiterian
Downey - methodist
Carlton - methodist.
Google for more and be quick to hola at them because the doc's don't take late patients especially if they ate vbac because there's a lot of parameters required to be considered to decide weda the woman is a gud vbac candidate or not.

Google vbac friendly doctors in Texas and a few names will pop up then go further by researching personally each of the doctor's of their experiences with vbac and patient review on that specific practice. .

My wife used methodist Richardson n Downey as obgyn.
He did pretty well and no drama.

U ll like to note that hospitals that are vbac friendly are usually large and have dedicated various med practices housed in the same complex such that d docs are practically available all thru the delivery n labour pls they are ready for any emergency.
Mostly the labor rooms (private) are equipped to go to emergency c section without moving the patient during delivery.

Gud luck on ur further endeavor. ..

Thanks so much for touching that matter, can you help out with the name of hospital and dr your wife used for the VBAC.

Modath thank you ooo. My situation is better imagined than experienced. I just woke up now to shouting, insults , lies and accusations. I had not even said my prayers. This is from my cousin and not even her mum. Apparently things i thought were squashed havent been. Yday my hubby was "priviledged" to hear her scolding me for ordering things here, he couldnt believe his hears. Its cos of my ordered items that im still here, but im begining to think i will forfeit them ( diapers and all). My new place wont be available till next week. Kai! What i didnt go through in naija. This is not to mention that ive been sleeping on the couch o. Anyway, they say hunger that has hope doesnt kill abi. Issorait, next week is here already.

Thanks to the likes of @Nerfertitiram aunty and a couple my friend told me of that housed her and vacated their one bedroom for her while they slept in the sitting room. People she was just meeting. We thank God for such people

Sorry about your ordeal dear, even in your pregnant state,na wa o!
like Nefertitiram said in earlier post, stories like these make me keeping thanking God for my host and praying for her, she was my bestie in sec sch (now sister) I stayed with her for 4months in a one bedroom apartment, she left her bed for me all thru my stay and slept on the couch, she made me schedule all my docs appointments for 10/10:30am and drove me thru and fro b4 she left for work, whenever we went grocery shopping I insisted on paying half at least so as not to be living off her, though she refused sometimes, she cooked and stored food for me in her refrigerator, whenever she wasn't available, she got some1 to drive me shopping, though I did 90% of my shopping online( I did that in order not to stress her) she called me on her lunch break everyday she was at work just to be sure I was fine, we prayed together sometimes, when my hubby came she left her car for him for easy movement, I can go on and on,and to think she is still single and wasn't even jealous, when I was leaving, I was in tears cos she was just so good to me, I just kept praying for her, since I left in June, we talk almost everyday, staying with her made us closer, I just bless God for her,

Modath We thank Nefertitirams aunt o.
Na wa o, pick rice that fell.... Haba Haba Mscheew

Thanks sweerie m, that one small...

You ever hear of a WOMAN telling a pregnant woman that she should stop throwing up cos the sound is irritating..... said it's an involuntary action but was gently scolded to try & manage it.. grin cheesy grin

After delivery, i was asked why i no longer throw up, said i told you it was involuntary but i was informed that no one throws up in late pregnancy so it was a deliberate act to annoy... grin cheesy

I had to one day tell em, "I be madam for one place ooo"

Thank God, mother alive, baby alive, father doing ok, all is cool..

Apart from crazy POE, accomodation is the major reason i won't advise anyone to consider chicago.

Na real wah, @ Modath Thank God you got out okay with your boy.
I agree it better to get your accommodation but some host are God sent.
I was in Apple Valley in California for 10 weeks and I most say my uncle and his wife are the best ever. Now my uncle is a medical doctor so he is always busy so it was my aunty that took me around, public transportation is not readily available in CA and renting a car was not cost effective for me. My aunty took me for all my doctor's appointment, hospital, shopping and to the airport (LAX which is about 2 hours from Apple Valley).
She is really an angel.

I had my baby girl on the 5th of Aug and my total bill for normal delivery was:
Hospital - $3,800
Ob gym - $1,400
My doctor didn't accept my Naija test so I did all the test for $200
Total was $5,400 but I had a false labour and was billed $1,500 but after negotiating the bill was reduced to $350 so I paid a total of $5,750 and got my zero balance.
I used Victor Valley Hospital and my doctor is Dr Moneke.

I could have written this. Mine was my primary school bestie o. I had my first with at my Sister's but I wasn't comfortable having my 2nd there ( I can't explain really just felt funny) plus I took my toddler with me (ijogbon special) My bestie turned sister said I should come to Chi town. Mehn! She was heaven sent. I didn't even remember I had a toddler she was his mom all through out even when I was in the hospital for 3 days. She'll cook for me, bathe my son, feed him, scold him when his naughty etc. See struggle to give her money when she's going to African store so I'll go to the Jewel Osco beside the house to supplement with groceries most of which we'll eat sef. She gave up her room for us and would sleep on the couch even when her bf comes they'll both sleep in the living room. Let me not continue but God bless her for me. Pele @Tobermom it's almost over.
Sometimes it's people that aren't related to us that amaze us the most.

Congrats on the arrival of your youngie! Detailed assessment of women for VBAC by your Dr who will be taking your delivery is key to a successful VBAC. So the decision for this option of delivery must be done one on one with your Dr after proper examination and not over the phone with any staff of Dr's office. This decision usually is not based on sentiments or cost as its consequences when offered to a wrong candidate can be fatal.
