Chai! I'm sad for you, the one that happened in my area happened to be with phone, the boy went to one powerful Alfa and the phone was return with sudden illness on the thief, come immagine, na him closest friend steal that phone.

Sorry about this situation. Awoyaya is notorious for burglary. What are the serial numbers, IMEI or something you or other people could use in identifying yours?.
I learnt there is a site ( http://fortereg.com) where you could store this information incase they are stolen. At least if anyone comes by these items, how could one prove they are really yours. I have all my gadgets registered on this site because I am sure it will go a long way to help in situations like this.

It will also help other laptop marketers to look out for items with such serial numbers or IMEI.

God will help you recover the items or HE will bless you with better ones.

sorry OP , but u should consider them GONE. whoever stole them won't return them , neither will laptop sellers. not in Nigeria grin. even anywhere sef, it's hard to get back stolen things like laptops. just being realistic for u.

sad sad thieves/robbery are daily issue around that Ibeju lekki environment. They probably take it to VGC/Ikota/computer village to sell.The perpetrators are ur neighbour.Just pretend as if nothing happen,u'll surely catch the bastard

OP,

Please accept my condolences.

As one who experienced a burglary in my house in Abuja, in April, where we lost my laptop, phones, my brand new PS4 console which was a valentines gift from wifey and some cash, trust me, those items wont be seen again. They dont sell the phones and laptops for use, but for spare parts as they are not traceable then onwards.

Just accept your fate and move on. The probability of recovering them even in developed countries is usually small. The police will make u spend more sef. In my time I was asked to bring 100k to track a phone which was worth 40k. There was no point spending cash which could replace the items so we refused the offer. We have reinforced our Burglary windows and installed night vision cameras in the house and outside.

You may not have the means for this but think of ingenious ways to deter future burglars. Remember, it is possible the burglar knows u well.
