I agree totally. I for one don't eat ewedu and my grand mom in IMO state sure as hell doesn't know ewedu. but just mention Ogbono and she can tell you how fix it with both eyes closed.
our native soups are different please

Bitterleaf with snails.....See I am a product of Anambra woman(the people who invented bitterleaf, ora, ofe akwu and nsala) and I don't eat nonsense...All my years as a man I have never see my mother, sister's and now my wife cook butterleaf with snails.....I feel like throwing up.

Bro you know that I am a pure anambra man both father and mum and you are mistaken here ....you can cook bitter leaf with snail . I think you are missing it ...but you can't cook bitter leaf with esam or periwinkle

That's a no no

There must be ogiri in that bitter leaf or oha thickened with ede uli

That's how we roll in nnewi and Igbo ukwu axis

Naaaaa sis, cooking with snail isn't popular in Idemili axis of Anambra talk more of adding it to the nobliest soup. To eat it its either deep fried or a lot of pepper is added, no time for that slimy reptile.

Point of correctn! "Owo" ("Oghwo"wink is an Urhobo native soup nd didn't originate frm Itsekiri. If u ar in doubt of its origin, do a research on it or find out about it frm elderly pipo in Warri. "Owo" is abbreviatn of d full Urhobo term "Oghwo-evwri" (meanin "palm oil soup"wink.
Thanks bro.

I actually doubt if this op has really Chris crossed the nation to arrive at this ur lame list, if I am to add to it, where is miyan taushe, miyan kuka, gbegiri, ogbono soup which u wrongly called ewedu soup etc, the list is countless.
You need to do a thorough research on this before u come out with a list, which reminds us o the fact we probably do know much abt our local foods.
