But I don't understand why Indians have to build this facility...disgraceful.
Don't we have builders, IT specialist and Institute of Management to support this project.

Infact how many billions does it cost?

Actually it's built by an indigenous company UPDC, (updcplc dot com). The MD is one Hakeem Ogunniran.

Developments like this must be applauded BRAVO on the housing and most importantly job creations, i love this. Dont you love to see the happy faces of my Nigerian people employed doing their thing. The sad part is that this is possible for WHOLE of Nigeria, but we have polithiefians whose prime goal is not to enrich the masses but enrich themselves.

Nigeria remains a third world shiithole . Below are photos of Angola's massive social housing projects. that is what should have been implemented in Akwa ibom .the angolans seem to be getting a hang of it .
Botswana,Namibia,South Africa,Angola and Mauritius have brighter prospects than Nigeria.
inferiority complex will not let most of you achieve or appreciate anything ..
Its in your blood, your own will never be as good as others no matter the effort put into it.

Go back and check Lagos housing project and eko Atlantic city then come back when you have updated your brain ..

Sheesh ..

that is old settlement ..

Ibadan is the 3rd biggest city in Africa with a lot of settlements ..

Modern settlements are more than old settlements.

I think d most developed part of Ibadan is still ikolaba. Just love d estates & windy roads.

A stark contrast to d very many brown roofs in d hilly 'orita merin' near mapo hall. And d old enclaves of places like abebi, where everyone smiles and gists wt u & its like ur in another world. My best part of ibadan. Simply Beautiful. wink

yeah .. Ibadan is all round city .. Both old and new settlement ..

That's why they call it the gold and the rust city ..

Ikolaba is nice but not most developed .. Go to new bodija, Jericho. Idi ishin, onireke etc .. You will be wowed wink

I agree abt d housing projects. However, giving d unemployed money will just breed laziness and its unsustainable.

Well I believe the project in Ibadan is a private sector funded project. Let's just hope Fashola would consider building housing projects like the one you suggested above cos if he can't do it, then we'll probably never find anyone sensible or capable enough to sparehead it again in a long time.
