I received a message like that too. I even called to know that person that was my ex corper mate who has nobody in his family to help but me . I played along, he referred me to his inlaw who is d supposed recruitment manager whom he has previously spoke to him about me. Only for that one to be asking if I were educated.... I wondered how he could ask such a question if truly I'm his brother in law's ex corper mate. To crown d whole thing up, he asked me to pay 10500 to a first Bank account without giving me the name of account or number. That's when I knew these ones a looking for christmas cash. They were nw the ones calling me as I was posting them . #my turn

Lolzzzzzzz, OP, I had similar encounter back in 2012 immediately after my service. I was happy dat my colleague remembered me for beta tin.
But I could not placed d name. I had a lot of thinking abt hw dis my friend got my number. But then, d excitement of getting a big job without even spending a month at home would not allow me to think straight.
With speed and accuracy, I returned d call, he did not pick up. Called like 3 times, No response. Then he later called back telling me he was with d man dat want to help me out. I was like "God is involve o". Then he said he will send d man's number so I could talk to him. The amen was like thunder. I called d man immediately, I noticed d man was adjusting his voice. Coughing and speaking very slow. I cud sense d voice of dis my friend but since he said d man is a pastor in a deeper life bible church. I felt no harm. Then he said d form is limited and it's just for 20k since I am a fresh graduate.
I was not worried because my double allowances still dey intact.
But then I remembered reading on nairaland dat no company will ask u for money b4 employment.
He said I shud go pay immediately into d account he will be sending once I am in d bank.
Dat was when I knew dat I will b dead if I don't return back to my senses.
I just sent a text to him dat I will get back to him.
Na God dey help person o. Dos guys use jazz sometimes but with God, No qualms.

Those scammers are not innovative at all. Imagine the same lie I was told over six years ago is still being told today. They get people's contact from those magazines produced by state chapters of NYSC and use the information to scam unsuspecting graduates who look eagerly to any available job post - NYSC.
Anyways, anyone that falls for this kind of scam is a learner.

those 419ers must be thinking I'm a fertile ground
for their business so I decided to reply them this
time and I sent a reply radiating the love of this
season!

I sent the reply and started laughing at myself... I
guess that would keep them up off my back for a
while! lol.
