Black Scorpion is from which tribe? Adekunle Fajuyi is from which tribe? Tell me about lack of courage then.

I dont think a Yoruba would carry another man's issue on his head while dragging his on the floor. The article is somewhat true tho but I think of all tribes, a larger percentage of Yorubas count the costs before launching into foolish endeavours.

I really like calm, educated Yorubas...awesome to be with.
What they refuse to understand is that intelligence is far more important than strength. They abandoned the initial and keep applying the latter. Meanwhile, have not even seen, heard anything, act or event about them to justify their bravery.

What is this one saying? People like you always think someone is insulting you. He is clearly stating things as he has seen and observed them, something Nigeians are alien to given their over use of euphemism and metaphor.

Blaine Harden :
"The saving grace in Nigeria's religious split is the Yoruba. The tribe serves as a kind of religious buffer, noisy but not explosive. Simplified : (This is where the positive remarks stop. Since Yoruba is the only majority tribe that has a considerable amount of both Muslims and Christians, they act indeed as a religious buffer for Nigeria) As much as they relish escalating an inconsequential disagreement into a full-blown screaming match, the Yoruba are not inclined to die in the name of either Christ or Mohammed. They were a most reluctant participant in the Biafra war.Simplified : (That's calling one spineless, uncourageous, gutless, namby-pamby,and lacking in will power. For how can one discribe me as making all the noise and explosion in social discussions, yet indecisive and cold in matters that determine my existence, life and condition , i.e the civil war? That's just a clever way to insult people.) Yoruba Muslims enjoy their beer; Yoruba Christians set no record for church attendanceā€¦ Simplified : (Muslims are known for their disdain for alcohol and Christians are known for service punctuality, here, he just labeled a section of Nigeria as very passive and without character .

It's a clever way to insult people.

As someone who writes, I believe you are aware that one can never grab 100% expressions at all times, no matter the country you come from.

In the case of Mr. Blaine Harden, he is not English man, he is America. Let us not make the mistake of thinking that everybody from America must know English like the British. That is never gonna happen.
You're getting it wrong, sir. It's not about British or American English. It's all about perfect grammatical expressions, considering his professional status (an American journalist). However, I'm surprised that you didn't find it appalling that he was trying to emasculate a tribe in Nigeria, you rather found my statement terrible.

What Blaine Harden wrote is what we know already. The Yoruba's are loud mouthed cowards with very little scruples. Their sexual morality is also the lowest amongst all Nigerians. Maybe at par with that of the Calabars and Idomas.

Yeah yeah, and your tribe, whatever that may be, is filled with the twelve disciples. undecided

LOL.

I knew this Yoruba Muslim from my IT days at NBL. Once we (me and a bunch of other IT students) got talking about drinking and he joined in. I was a little surprised because he struck me as someone who took his faith seriously - his dad was an imam and he prayed regularly.

So I said, "You drink beer?"

He looked at me quizzically and went, "Yes, why? Do I look too young to drink?" I was even more surprised that he couldn't tell straight away that his religion was the reason I was surprised.

When I finally said, "But you're a Muslim", he went, "Oh...that. Mscheew..."

And before some idiots come to say they are cowards. Remember that before we became one Nigeria, yorubas have fought so many wars within themselves. War is never the answer to any question. Nothing as worthy as dialogue, diplomacy and respect of boundaries.

You are a daft cretinous fuuktard!

You claimed there is institutional marginalisation against Igbos. And when your daft arsse was ask to give us examples of these, your moronic self could not?

Now you are trying to change it from "institutional marginalisation" to "germaine issues"?

Fuuktard, please tell us how Igbos live as "a second class citizens incapable of enjoying the inalienable rights enshrined in law".
You are craving for my attention but I will not be obliging this time around.

This is a new year and so it wouldn't be out of place for you to make the trip to your village so that someone can place a finger on your dysfunctional/split personality.

I believe it all boils down to subject verb agreement. in the sentence, YORUBA was used as a noun, hence it should have a plural form YORUBAS and a corresponding auxiliary verb that suits that tone.example YORUBAS are,not YORUBA Is.....i stand corrected, I am an engineer after all not a linguist
