those days when lagos was truly seen as the centre of excellence and unity. not now that the 'omo'nile phenomenon' is turned the whole thing upside down. Oba of Lagos threatening one of the dominant ethnic group with Lagoon stories just because they chose to elect a candidate that is not his choice. is it too late for Lagos to been seen as 'the centre of excellence'?

I wish Nigeria can be great again

Our thinking needs to change for better. All the places i saw in the pix above are neat and beautiful compare to what we have today.

Just made me remember the song in the 80's that goes: Nigeria go better..... African go survive..... Nigeria go survive ooooo.... Africa go better....

When has it ever been great?

EXACTLY!

Lagos ...before "they" came with their fake-this, fake-that, kidnapping, armed robbery, ritual killing and "get-money-at-all-cost" syndrome!

....and there was no Crude oil in those days (20's , 30's , 40's , 50's ) so it was Yoruba money, from Agricultural and Water resources, that the indigenes used in developing their land.

These 'lubbish-people' really need to go back to where they came from! Someone should arrange for many CHISCO Bus please

People who claimed that the old Lagos is better than the present one are probably
living in un-developed part of Lagos. tongue
You need to see places like Banana Island, VGC, Lekki and the rest to know how
far Lagos has developed.

Look at this one?

We are talking about "the whole of Lagos".... you are talking about one "Small Estate"?

Compare Lekki Traffic as of today, with the Ikorodu Rd traffic you saw in that picture... and tell me which is better. undecided undecided

Obviously you have no idea. Keep deceiving yourself. The first coup was a few years after independence and you had multiple military rulers for decades and you say the country was great. I wonder when the country ever had time to be great in such a scenario? Small pikin. Dem de take picture decieve am. No be by age...Learn your history.
