Newway2:
I was at Kalusam's vegetable farm for the indegineous (dry season) vegetable farming. The young man was not only highly cerebral in his ways, he is also very down to earth & accomodating of other people's opinion.

Thumb up for him.

I learnt a lot from him. I enjoin others too who are interested in dry season indegineous vegetable farming to go for his training b4 embarking on the venture.

May God bless our hustles.

Thanks a lot for coming to my farm Sir...I really appreciate the time spent as we rubbed minds, I also learnt a lot from you.

Organic Indigenous vegetable farming is one untapped area of the industry in Nigeria and am proud WE are working towards expounding this knowledge across as many people as possible through our trainings.

Thanks once again for coming Sir, wish you all the best as you apply what you've learnt in your new farm. #RemainBlessed

Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba said "The worst people to serve are the Poor people. Give them free, they think it's a trap. Tell them it's a small investment, they'll say can't earn much.

Tell them to come in big, they'll say no money. Tell them try new things, they'll say no experience. Tell them it's traditional business, they'll say hard to do.

Tell them it's a new business model, they'll say it's MLM. Tell them to run a shop, they'll say no freedom. Tell them run new business, they'll say no expertise.

They do have somethings in common: They love to ask google, listen to friends who are as hopeless as them, they think more than an university professor and do less than a blind man. Just ask them, what can they do. They won't be able to answer you.

My conclusion: Instead of your heart beats faster, why not you just act faster a bit; instead of just thinking about it, why not do something about it. Poor people fail because on one common behaviour: Their Whole Life is About Waiting."

So what kind of person does this make you?

The best time to act on any Agribusiness opportunity was the time you heard of it...the other time is NOW. Don't wait for any government or person because delay is dangerous, your destiny in your hands.

Apply for the dry season indigenous farming training today and be glad you did!

This is to thank all those who turned up to the training, as the saying goes 'Many are called but few are chosen' only few people who attended my training are enjoying my free mentorship now. I will guide them until they succeed in any indigenous vegies they opt to grow.

Some are already on their way to their millions in 2016! For those who called me for a training date, please be informed that this special training is closed, however due to several requests I have decided to open a one-on-one vegetable farm training for individuals or groups who want to start an Agribusiness project this year.

Training Fee for 1 day training is 10,000 naira per individual, groups get discount!

The training is a fully money back guarantee, if you don't get the results discussed during the training after 3 months...you will be refunded your money in full, yes in full!

Training will highlight:
Exotic Vegetable Farming(Cucumbers and Tomato sack farming for profit)

Indeginous vegies(Growing Ugu, Efo, Ewedu, Tete, Soko, Okro for profit, even during the rainy season)

How you can make N200,000+ guaranteed monthly from growing indigenous vegetables on 1 acre...Monthly Cash ATM!

How to intercrop plantation crops: Bannana, Plantain, pineapple, Pawpaw with vegetables and start earning money next year from your plantation.

Training guides will be given for free to our participants, the guides are designed ONLY for those that have been to our training and farm, that's why we don't sell them as E-books!

We will support any of our student, Providing them only quality fast maturing seeds at affordable prices!

Remember, this is a one-on-one, money back guaranteed PRACTICAL training that will change your life in 2016 and beyond!

Also remember that the more you delay, the more you will pay for my training...we don't need crowd, we just need 1 person who we will change their life through smart farming methods, because we don't just train we make sure you get more value than what you paid for.

In Agribusiness, if you want to Earn...you must Learn! - Kalusam

Hi Kalusam,
read your thread and I must say well done on the good work and information you share. I will like to know how do you sell your Ugu to your customers i.e how do u bunch them for sale? I am looking to go into Ugu production as I currently do it for personal consumption.
Thank you
Re: Make 200,000 Naira Or More Monthly Growing Indigenous Vegetables this Dry Season by Kalusam(m): 6:02pm On Mar 02, 2016
There are 2 ways to sell ugu leafs, if grown in commercial quantity (1) Join the Ugu sellers association, register and make all due payments. Then supply your Ugu to the market from your farm and sell at retail prices at the market. (2) Contact several market women who sells Ugu and are already association members, they come to you farm and buy either per space or per head of arranged Ugu, tied with a sack bag. .

You can also sell to several family friends or affinity groups at retail prices and/or supply to grocery stores and Food vendors and make even more money.

Thanks for your swift response. How big and how much does a space and a sack go for?
Secondly when you say per head, what do you mean?
If you can, please send pictures to help with visualising what you mean.
Thanks again

Thanks for your Questions, the answers to your question depends on who is buying from you. If you plant say 1 plot of Ugu, you can decide to sell 1/2 plot every week...that's what I mean by space.

As for the sacks, I advise you visit any of the Ugu markets across Lagos: Oyingbo, Sabo-Ikorodu, Igando, Egbeda, Ajah, e.t.c anyone near you, you will see how big the sack is and know the cost from them too. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of the sacks.

NOTE: ONLY the buyer of the Ugu can tell you how much(price per quantity) she will be willing to buy, so you have to negotiate well else you will be cheated.

Oga Kalusam, you are doing a great job here I must commend you.

On the issue quoted, I think you should try and give average price maybe per kilo or per mound of ugu parking so as to prevent the same you mentioned earlier i.e. cheating of newbie farmers... You know this would go a long way to help us plan for the unforeseen..

thank you

I understand your point, but truth is that price varies with a lot of factors, plant density, location of farm, distance to market, volume of harvested Ugu et al...that is why I encourage anyone doing Ugu farming to do their market research(at the market they will sell their produce) first, even before planting. Also note that price changes with season.

Planted about 600 seeds on 210 square meter(1/3 of a standard farm plot) so far...expected stands per plot is 1800, and 10800 stands per acre!

Having this plant population is achievable but challenging to manage in dry season...you can choose to plant 1m x 1m by which you will have 4000 plants per acre, the choice is yours.
