If you have any reason to doubt why Africa will never become great like the Whites, you don't have to look too far, this thread is a perfect reference.

"it was written in the Quran" "it was written in the bible"
Africa is one continent where everyone is afraid to think, all they just want to do is believe. People will dismiss logic and science without thinking but would graciously and wholeheartedly believe any _fucking fable in some old books written by cavemen thousands of years ago. I tire for una o.

My brother, the ignorance here is killing me. I gave a very simple scientific explanation and one Neanderthal started attacking me. Why can't people just use the rotten egg they have as brains for once? Africa is cursed. In fact, this thread is cursed.

Ahhh, abeg no vex oo sad .. dont curse out if anger ... nobody get rotten egg as brain grin grin ...
Well, the truth is that ignorance and laziness has made people relate everything to being spiritual, no one's ready to find out why such a thing is possible.. this is clearly what science does, it goes deep to find out the reason behind whatever that is happening ... Some say that HIV is a punishment from God b'cos no cure has been found, there was a time when Malaria was like that ( it killed Great Bonaparte) ... No one believes metal can fly, today we all enter planes and travel round the world... no one called it a miracle b'cos they saw how it was built and its reason for flying..
Summary, once there's no reason as to while something happened.. its automatically termed Miracle until Science finds out ...... God Save Africa smiley

Yes! everything cannot be answer, but you don't have to accept assumption as a fact.

Guy, did science create itself? were the seas created by US or Britain? undeniably, this is God's handiwork.

No need to wish Africa backwardness. Africa will be great because we are the wealthiest continent in the world.

These findings are supposed to call/increase us in guidance because they are signs of the Creator's supremacy, such that when science thinks it has reached a point in understanding a matter, another strange one occurs to show them the limit of their knowledge.

The fact that science is able to explain things doesn't mean they are not spectacular phenomenon. Rather it points to the supremacy of Allah because no matter how much science grows it still remains daunted by many complications and sudden unexpected phenomenon. In fact the Quran didn't -in many cases - cite strange phenomenon as signs rather matters close to you like the camel, birth of children, the life of the earth by rain after its death.

The fact that they found cure doesn't mean that those diseases are not punishment for our wrongdoings. Don't you see that after every cure another sickness surfaces which science has never heard of. Then another cycle of
toiling for solutions and cure begins. Which punishment could be greater than this?!

If scientists want to prove their supremacy they should create another planet like earth with all these spectacular phenomenon.

Lastly, those using the verses as witnesses to those phenomenon should be sure that they understand the exegesis of the Quran thoroughly before applying them to matters like this. I'm not saying that they have used it wrongly, just calling my attention and theirs.

Sibrah:
On a flat earth abi. keep pushing yourself hard.
1. Earth made as a carpet
The question refers to a verse from the Qur’an
in Surah Nuh:
"And Allah has made the earth for you as a
carpet (spread out)." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter
71, Verse 19
But the sentence in the above verse is not
complete. It continues in the next verse,
explaining the previous verse. It says: "That ye
may go about therein, in spacious roads." The
Holy Quran, Chapter 71, Verse 20
A similar message is repeated in Surah TaHa:
"He Who has made for you the earth like a
carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about
therein by roads (and channels)...." The Holy
Quran, Chapter 20, Verse 53
The surface of the earth i.e. earth’s crust is less
than 30 miles in thickness and is very thin as
compared to the radius of the earth which is
about 3750 miles. The deeper layers of the
earth are very hot, fluid and hostile to any form
of life. The earth’s crust is a solidified shell on
which we can live. The Quran rightly refers to it
like a carpet spread out, so that we can travel
along its roads and paths.
.
.

TO DESCRIBE THE SHAPE OF THE EARTH
“And the earth, moreover, hath He made
egg shaped.”
[Al-Qur’an 79:30]
The Arabic word for egg here is dahaahaa1 which
means an ostrich-egg. The shape of an ostrich-
egg resembles the geo-spherical shape of the
earth. Thus the Qur’an correctly describes the
shape of the earth, though the prevalent notion
when the Qur’an was revealed was that the earth
was flat.

I don't know where you copied this crap from but it's complete THRASH!!!

The word dahaaha is not a noun in Arabic rather it's a verb (it's subject) and it's object.
دحى means to spread
هاis the pronoun for third person feminine i.e HER. In Arabic the earth or land is a feminine word.
French language also treats some non living things as female too (I got that from elementary secondary school French) so don't ask me why the earth is feminine or how I knew.

The meaning is 'he spreaded it out'. and not Ostrich egg!!!
ostrich egg?! just too far from it.
Re: Gulf Of Alaska: Two Oceans Meet But Do Not Mix"? by Newnas(m): 4:12pm On Feb 05, 2016
like a carpet does not refer to thickness of the earth. The context even shows the attribute of the carpet that the earth is likened to. And the attribute is the ease of moving on the earth just like you move on the carpet such that you are able to tour the earth round without an seclusion of a part from the whole world rather they are all linked together.
The comparison intended is not the thickness of the earth. How can it intend thickness of
the carpet after saying that the earth is in seven layers.

As for the earth being round no scholar ever inferred that from the verse in fact in history, the only religion that claimed that the earth is flat is Christianity to the extent that scientists' lives were threatened for saying otherwise.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flat_Earth

As you can see Islam is not even mentioned at all. I don't know where you got your crap from.

Noble Verse(s) 55:19-55:22
Yusuf Ali:
[055:019]  He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together:

[055:020]  Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress:
[055:021]  Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?

[055:022]  Out of them come Pearls and Coral:
Arabic (from right to left):

‏55:19 مرج البحرين يلتقيان
‏55:20 بينهما برزخ لايبغيان

‏55:21 فباي الاء ربكما تكذبان
‏55:22 يخرج منهما اللؤلؤ والمرجان

The Holy Quran is not only full of miracles but it is a miracle in itself. In its verses Allah, the Supreme Creator (or God Almighty) has invited all intelligent human beings to ponder over His marvelous creations and gain knowledge. Modern science is discovering slowly the events/objects that have been revealed to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) over 1400 years ago through the Holy Quran.
One of such great miracle is the meeting of two oceans/seas in such a way that they flow side by side, or even within each other, but they don’t mix and mingle. In many places around this world there are two masses of sweet-water and salt-water flowing side by side at the same place but without mixing or mingling with each other
I think this verse is not d only verse which talks about it... I think there are other verses too... Not very sure, anyways

ostrich egg?! just too far from it.
That's the reason why, when Muslims tell 'you' that we can't have an English Quran but instead an English translation of the Arabic Quran 'you' tend not to understand. Why do you think Almighty God revealed the Quran in arabic language (one is because of the completeness of the language) . Yes you ve tried but you need more knowledge. Now read on:
.
.

Linguistic evidence to the "dahu" (egg-shapping)
of the Earth.
The "dahu" in the Arabic Language means to
extend and even out. It is said: "daha" the thing;
"yad'hu dahwan". These terms can mean he
either evened out and extended it or he threw it
and rolled it. It is also said: "the rain daha the
stones from the face of the earth," which means
it rolled it and washed it away. It is also said:
"The horse passed by yad'hu dahwan," which means he is beating his foot on the ground and
yad'hu its sand. Also, the ostrich's mad'hi means its laying of its eggs, and "ad'hiha" is the
nest where its chicks are born.
End of translation.
So as we clearly see, all of the above Arabic
words that are derived from "daha" mean:
1-
To extend.
2-
To roll.
3-
To even out.
4-
Causing to become egg-shaped or creating,
making or producing eggs
(see the ostrich's mad'hi example above).
All of these meanings perfectly apply to our
planet Earth and the stages that it went through!

This was clearly revealed To the last prophet of of Islam and you still dont believe him

Quran, 55:19-20
He has set free the two seas meeting together.

There is a barrier between them. They do not transgress.

Quran, 25:53
He is the one who has set free the two kinds of water, one sweet and palatable, and the other salty and bitter. And He has made between them a barrier and a forbidding partition.
