WARRIBLOOD: I am no medical practitioner nor a pharmacist, but tramadol is a very dangerous drug to use as a substitute for viagra. it think it tends to relax the muscles and tends to slow down the rate of heart beat. it kills way fast if wrongly used. to the topic, the more reason why I hate taking paracetamol. that drug is as dangerous as I recall relatives that passed as a result of the wrong usage of the drug. I would rather let my head pound than take paracetamol. |

paracetamol is a very safe and effective drug when administered at the right dose. acute toxicity only sets in when taken in excess of about 20x the recommended daily dose. in order words, it has a high margin of safety. but remember, every drug is a potential poison . 1 Like |

Re: Paracetamol: A Friend Or A Villain? by MrImole: 11:27am On Feb 11, 2016 |
WARRIBLOOD: Bro, it's not about dossage, it's about (mg). If you have never taken it before I'll suggest you start with 100(mg). There is always 10tablets or capsules in one satchet. Let me give you the price range for each (mg). 50mg = #50-#70 100mg=#80-#100 150mg= #150 200mg=150-#200 225mg= #250 |

'Every drug is a poison' so say my sister who is a pharmacist. We only take drugs where the sickness is worse than the side effects of these drugs. I have worked with welders before and I see the way they chew 5-6 paracetamol or Panadol tablets at once. Some do that 2ice before the day runs out. Had to call them to order because I believe Paracetamol fit kill ooo in this case. |

Most people can take paracetamol without any
problem, but to make sure it is the right
treatment for you, speak with a doctor or
pharmacist before you start taking it if:
You are pregnant or breast-feeding. This is
because, while you are expecting or feeding
a baby, you should only take medicines on
the recommendation of a doctor.
You have a serious problem with the way
your liver works, or if you regularly drink
large amounts of alcohol.
You are taking medicines prescribed by a
doctor.
You have ever had an allergic reaction to a
medicine. |

Christane:a paragraph on that write up says " In recommended doses and for a limited course of treatment, the adverse side effects of paracetamol are mild to non-existent". That you havnt had problems with taking the drug doesn't delete the fact that drugs have side effect and over dose is very harnful. Drugs are not the best, try as much as you can to avoid them and always go by doctors prescription |

femrd:because there is no physical problen doesnt mean there is no problem. That you do not see a physical problem in someone that has smoked for a long period of time doesn't mean his organs are not going down day by day, the problem is that most Aricans expecially most Nigerians don't take their health seriously. I still wonder why someone would take drugs without a health professional's prescription |
