Its a Zain Huawei modem,bought 4years ago and to d best of my, knowledge i have never tried unlocking it. though i havent used it for like for 3yrs

don't give up yet, it can still be unlock.... are you sure you're tried unlocking for 10 times with wrong codes before? if yes, I can help you reset the modem counter back to zero.... if no, download Huawei code writer and steps to use it... it will work. Ask question if you don't understand.

if it's glo Huawei, try to find another modem dashboard that is Huawei... it will ask for code if you are sure you've not entered wrong code 10 times.

What do you mean by "it failed". What method did you use?

The code was unable to unlock the modem, after several attempts the modem went off and has refused to power on. Even when connected to the computer it still does not come up or seen in the pc. I am just thinking, perhaps, the battery is bad, thou I am not sure yet.
