Good for us, Nigerians. When they ask us to Buy Nigeria to save the Naira, we would bat no eye to such campaign. Imagine if the fishes were local species bought from our farmers who raised them, we could not have been exposed to such risks. Because we would be the ones to kill the fishes by ourselves, hence, wholesome nutrition. Many of those iced fishes were actually killed on the high seas since God knows when then frozen, packaged and sold to us looking fresh. 1 Like |

Nigeria, the investment capital of the world. Everybody running to sell and invest in something in Nigeria while Nigerians buy into it all without really understanding the low lifes out there waiting to cash in on deceptively selling people refuse as food. All for profit over Nigerian people they have conceit for anyway. |

The staff of the company that alerted the police should be commended. He has saved thousands of Nigerians from eating expired fish which is dangerous to their health. i have worked in an Indian company before, few are good while majority are dubious, greedy and self centered. The Lagos state govt and the concerned regulatory authorities should make sure that the management of the company and their collaborators face the full wrath of the law for putting Nigerians in harms way. 3 Likes |

That staff of the company who blew the whistle leading to the storming and sealing up of the Indian fish company deserves an award. The Lagos State Governor should honour him/her. This is what it takes to be a good citizen. Imagine the havoc this could have caused to people's health. A lot of Indians are idol worshipers so they have no conscience. GEJ also created a fertile ground for them to operate in Nigeria during his buffonic reign as president. 2 Likes |

I am proudly Nigerian. The way some of us behave abroad is the same way the Indians are behaving in nigeria. Yahoo Yahoo, yahoo++,drugs, money laundering. E.t.c. God will continue to save us from these callous beings. March is 10 days away so they are sure of selling 700million naira worth of fish within 10days? They should be investigated and if found guilty, jailed before being deported. #LOBATAN#. Those of you running away from meat for Fish. Shey una don see yah Life? |

Hi everyone, there's an opportunity to learn how to make fruit juice here in Vietnam from a reputable university. The fees is quite affordable and the visa procurement is cheap and fast. This is what Nigerians need in this time of harsh economic downturn to secure a better future. It's better to invest in skill acquisition programmes and be sure of employment tomorrow than to spend years in the university and roam the street. The interested person should contact Mr Kenneth with the this number: +84902856282 or lifegoalministries@.com. The course will start at the middle of March 2016. |

This has been their practice for long, there's a store in Alaba Mile2 called Popular Fishing or something like that (formally Stallion Fishing Company) this is what they do on a regular basis. Back then, there was a man called Kollington from Ibadan he's an expert in buying expired frozen fish from this company. |

A sane person knows that the intention to change the unexpired date to a later date makes their intention of giving an expired food for human consumption. |

That's premium sea food, Haano company, we buy fish from them. We still bought 600 cartoons of Alar an Blue whiting 30kg and Oshawa square 550 cartons for my uncle's depot. The fishes were spoilt and led us into loss but thank God we pay after selling so we asked them to come and load back their spoilt fishes or reduce the price so we can sell it cheaply too. Indians cannot be trusted when it comes to business and ur police know all these but they (Indians) bribe them heavily to keep shut. |

Will someone tell me that these cartons of fishes were smuggled through our porous borders? If not, how come products like these pass through customs clearance without proper check. There's something fishy. |

If nigeria can stop importation things of this nature will not happen. Indian sometimes ago, placed on embargo on importation that, all of her citizen must use made in india products which really worked for them. Now they are exporting expired fish to naija simply because we can't place an embargo on importation. All I know is we will survive this difficult period. |
Re: Lagos Seizes Expired Fish From Indian Company by PurestBoy(m): 3:02pm On Feb 18, 2016 |
habsydiamond: You don't understand, the origin of these fishes are Russia and Norway and Indians are just buying to sell to us, out waters don't breed those types of fishes besides we don't have the necessary facilities to freeze and package them especially electricity. So you can see how backward we are! |
