i read a news article there were some nigeria troop who couldn't get suppliers because boko haram kept placing IED's on routes they used, thats the same tactic alshabaab is doing.during the afghan and iraq war due to the threat of constant IED attacks american were even forced resupply some outpost using helicopters, even troop movement.this basically what boko haram is plotting ,you continue taking more territory and then they start overrunning those isolated outposts
recovered territories would have to have some sort of military presence. There is nothing bad in re supplying an outpost using helicopters. It is the responsibility of the men of the outpost to ensure that their sphere of influence is completely stable and free from pockets of terror cells that may want to cause trouble.

U.S. Army Soldier and officers with Uganda People's Defense Force trained side-by-side at the JRTC and Fort Polk in Louisiana

A contingent of officers with Uganda People's Defense Force is currently training side-by-side with 1st Brigade Combat Team "Bastogne", 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana for rotation 16-06. Interoperability is a key component for major training events like the JRTC rotations. Working with multinational partners strengthens bonds and prepares the Soldiers for wherever their next rendezvous with destiny is. (U.S. Army photos by Sgt. The Namibian Navy's long-serving flagship, the Lieutenant General Dimo Hamaambo, will be auctioned to the highest bidder on Thursday next week following its decommissioning by President Hifikepunye Pohamba in August.

The sale comes as the Namibian Navy, which commissioned a new Chinese-built naval patrol vessel last month, awaits the delivery of three more Chinese-made patrol boats.

@Gottfried what do you know about the three?

Mozambique orders 3 Camcopter UAVs for its patrol vessels

Mozambique will operate Schiebel Camcopter vertical takeoff and landing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from its Ocean Eagle 43 offshore patrol vessels, and has ordered three of the aircraft.

The three vessels will be delivered this month, after being ordered in September 2013 in a 200 million euro contract with French shipyard CMN that also includes three HSI 32 interceptors and 24 fishing vessels. The first Ocean Eagle was launched on 22 January 2015.

The three Camcopter S-100 remotely piloted helicopters were ordered from Austrian company Schiebel, according to Mer et Marine, and began pre-delivery testing in Cherbourg, France, but proper flight testing will only be done in Mozambique due to regulations concerning the flight of UAVs in France.

The trimaran Ocean Eagle 43 vessels are 43.6 metres long, are powered by four Scania engines for a top speed of 30 knots and have a range of 3 000 miles at 20 knots. They can launch a rigid-hulled inflatable boat from the stern and have a small platform able to accommodate aircraft weighing less than 300 kg.

The first three HSI 32 interceptors left France for Mozambique in January. Another three were ordered in January 2015.
