I think what we have here is a classic case of power struggle.

If it is, teebliz must be really stvpid. Tiwa is doing well and he isn't. He feels emasculated. He has to blame someone. Tiwa's discouragement was the beginning. If her parents marriage was the same, that is the if her mother brought in more dough than her husband, then he feels justified to blame her and juju. He starts to see every action as a mockery of his position. He analyses her every step. It is all in his head. He needs to show his superiority so he starts making all these accusations. Then follows it with domestic abuse.

However Tiwa could be the cause, she needed to show him that she was right and wouldn't stop reminding him that he failed because he didn't listen to her. She is always having these shows. She is getting more famous. He is at home doing nothing. His once successful career isn't going in well. He is no longer the man she once knew. So she argues, words were exchanged and she strikes him. And he hits back. So men are physically more powerful and she got hurt but they blame him.


Either way, I hope they resolve this madness amicably. It would be mor.onic to blame her without any evidence that she treated him less than a partner. If you think you know better, then you have to explain why men who earn far higher than their partners abuse as much as men who earn far lower.

I don't think the guy is weak - he doesn't look it. Certain things just come with the territorial and the need to follow what's contemporary, with the noise about women empowerment everywhere.
