Guys there is one bitter lesson OAU has taught us.After going through jamb whahala and struggling with post jamb then fight for admission. Who would ma go to school and Bleep up.i don't think we need anyone to advise us,when our mates they enter 2nd semester,we still dey on registration. Who no go serious when we resume..my point of view tho*...

@Princemario where u dey na..u never answer me since *sad*
I'm so sorry, i've been offline since yesterday. To your question, it is a very wrong notion to think chemical engineering is only restricted to only oil and gas. As a matter of fact, it is one of the most versatile engineering courses, I used to have that notion to the extent that I was almost changing from my course from chemical to elect as a freshman back then, I was only lucky to have asked Xfire here on nairaland before taking the step as my mind was made up then, he was the one that put a call through and persuaded me not to change by opening my eyes to the great opportunities that lies in chemical engineering beyond O&G, I reluctantly succumed to his words, today,I'm happy I listened to him back then, as I can now confirm it by myself. By the time you get to the department and start working in unit operation lab, biochemical lab, analytical lab and the rest, you'll fall in love with chemical engineering and will realise its not just limited to oil and gas. We were at Unilever on an industrial visit some weeks ago, Lo, Unilever is not an oil and gas coy. ChE is a great course. I've decided to show you some pictures of your senior colleagues at Unilever, though I'll pull if down later.
You're on the right path dear.

If you have some other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Gracials.
