I left my location early dis morning with a mission of getting a decent TV from Mr. Acunon since I felt d long weekend/break can allow me bear the stress of going 2lagos from Ogun in search of my dream TV. We had good conversations with Acunon and he promised me a good TV set @an affordable price, I informed him yesterday of my coming but he told me he won't be around 2day..(if only I was patient enough to wait for him, mayb I would av been saved from d loss and stress). Out of curiosity and people's post dat it's best 1goes to alaba himself to get a good and better deal dan acunon's, I decided to embark on my journey. I arrived @d Market, gave Acunon a call, he didn't pick.. I den messaged him, he replied dat he won't be aroundd today, I now asked if he could link me up with sum1 in his shop, he did, Gave me directions to his shop and told me to meet his brother... but being my first time there, I kept asking persons on how to locate the plaza, d guys keep posting me dat dey don't know the plaza (meanwhile they had intentions to defraud me, and unknown to me dat I was even in front of d plaza I was asking for. Then one of the guys asked me what do I need, is it telly? I answered yes, dey now said I shouldn't worry, if it's telly, dey know where I can get.. dey took me to a supposed warehouse... I wanted a samsung LED 32inch telly.. d guy nw brought LCD dat it is LED, I suspected foul play, I decided to leave d shop, the guy who took me dia said, if it's for personal use, let him take me to anoda shop wia I make a choice, pay and plead dey test it for me... and dat d TV are non tested in d shop we entered, but where we will go to, dey will test it... we went to other shops, I now settled for one @30k, a samsung 32 LED, but instead of paying, one guy from no where just came and said I shld go round, dat dey want to cheat me, dat he can help me get 40inch @30k... [b]I foolishly followed him, we got to the shop and I settled for one sweet 40inch samsung, dey bargained, started from 65k, d guy who took me dia told him noo, dat we want to do business of buying and selling TV and we need to test buy from him, so he shld 4get dat price and call normal price, d seller now told him d last he will leave d TV is 40k, at long last we settled for 32k, I was excited deep inside of me... and was already thinking that so this is how acunon will collect people's money and buy cheap telly and make double profit... I now told d guy dat let dem test it for me, he said I shld pay den dey will carry d telly to where dey will test it... I now said owkay oh, counted my cash and gave dem... unknown to me, d TV I paid for was non tested TV... Dey took the telly to anoda shop (a technicians shop) cos no lyt in the shop... he plugged the telly, the screen was dancing and it was not entering AV... d technician now said it has fault.. and dat we should return it, d boy of the seller and d technician and I decided to take the telly back... dey gave us anoda exact type... but dis tym wen the technician tested it, he said it has power problem... I was now imagining dat Hw can the TV I paid for expecting it to work perfectly be faulty... meanwhile d boy of the seller has left me with the technician, while d guy dat took me to the seller is no where to be found...[/b] 1 Like 1 Share |

[b]The technician promised to make d TV work, dat I will pay him 13500, I now pleaded dat I will give him 11k... he agreed, I paid him, he worked on the TV but we realized the screen was bad.... Note that I av spent a total of 33500+11000... for a TV with damaged screen... That was when the technician now said, the only alternative now is to go and plead with dem to give me tested TV and add money to them so I don't fall at loss, dat d TV I bought was non tested.... It now dawned on me ddat I have entered 1chance.... We went back, d guys said the only help dey will do for me is to add 30k for dem to give me a good TV.. I pleaded, but to no avail... we later arrived @ 25k... I had to source for extra 25k I neva planned to spend to use in settling dem,.. only for dem to give me a Sony bravia lcd 2007model that has dent abi lines on the screen... Dey said datz d best dey can do for me... If only I was patient enough to wait and heed to Mr acunon's advice... I would av gotten a sweet 40inch Smart TV with 3d capability just like the one I got for my friend @ 70k or receive my 32inch LED TV he promised helping me delivered to my door step @47k... I am writing this to make u guys see reason not to do things out of greed, or even venture into something u have no idea about simply because Mr A. Or Mr. B said u should do or is doing..... despite all my disastrous encounter, Mr. Acunon was patient enough to be calling me and assisting me with advice on how to finish the deal without loosing the total money I spent...[/b] 1 Like |

In summary, lesson learnt. And I was convinced with Acunon that he is really doing a lot of people favour by helping us get good TV's @affordable prices. He is a nice guy, thou I couldn't meet with him in person, I later got to see his shop and met his brother... subsequent deals, i av no reason to doubt patronising him... 2 Likes |

meetmonde:Take heart, I feel your pain bro, those people are heartless. This is how I go about it if I'm to purchase anything from any market that I'm not conversant with. 1. I ask for the directions of the particular side of the market from those little boys hawking sachets water if the place is near by. 2. If am sure that I'm at the right location of the market, I walk and start looking for a shop where I will see an elderly person. 3. I don't respond to any person asking me what I want to buy. 4. I will enter a shop where there is an elderly person and ask for a particular shop that I'm looking for. I will tell them that that I'm a relative to the person and that I have a message for him from his uncle If I'm asked for the reason why I'm looking for the person that I want to meet with. I will never tell them that I want to buy any thing. 5. I will verify if the person I was directed to is the actual person that I'm looking for when I get to the shop. MY ADVISE TO THOSE THAT WANT TO BUY FAIRLY USED TELEVISION FROM UNKNOWN SELLERS. 1. Make sure you have decided on a brand, size, type and specification of TV you want buy. 2. Don't change your mind on what brand, size, type and specification of TV you want to buy when you are at the shop where you want to make the purchase except if you can't find what you want. 3. Ask them to power the TV. Check the name of the TV if it tally with the name of the TV on the screen when it is powered... they change names. Those sellers can clean CTL name on a TV front panel and rewrite it LG. They will remove CTL sticker at the back and re-paste it with LG sticker. 4. When the TV is powered, from the menu, ask them to show you the model. 5. Ask them to check all the ports by connecting some appliances (DVD, USB, Aerial antenna etc) to those ports. 6. Check if the TV is responding to the commands from all the buttons of its remote control. 7. Feel the back if it is too hot. 8. Ask a technician for other tips. Alot of peers has been defrauded severally on daily basis. A nairalander once came to me to beat an offer on a Samsung 32" Led ,after conclusion he decided he will come the next day for pickup , but he was distracted on his way to my office and out of greed he opted to buy a bigger set from those con men at a cheaper price and ended up buying a faulty bag at a price of a working a 40/42" smart tv. He was later partially refunded with my intervention and had to settle with what we had in mind. Con men roam about alaba like files looking for whom to devour. One has to be very careful, it was even last week one of there head man was shot on the leg by unknown person,it may be his sin has cut up with him. 1 Like |

bedford101: You have to Google your tv model number plus magic remote to see what the remote looks like. Your tv is LG 40LF6300 and checking on google,here is what it looks like It's a 2015 model and I think the remote works for all LG 2015 Smart tvs
