Everyone agreed there was need but sincerity of purpose and integrity was the stumbling block. Buhari is a man of integrity hence he will enjoy the support of most Nigerians.

Can you define the word Integrity, cos Buhari is not a reference to that term

This is still far cheaper. As at then Dollar was around 130 Naira. When compared with official 199 Naira today it is around 85 Naira of 2011 but if we use 300 Naira per Dollar of parallel market then its 45 Naira of 2011.

This is one of the best and most reasonable comment here, the rest are just spewing trash, blaming Buhari and praising Jonathan, lolz now daft and dumb and never realize what they really want, oil prices have fallen therefore it affects all oil dependent countries, comapring now then when the dollar prices was still alright to now that the price has sky rocketed (or is that also buharis fault too) is blaim hypocrisy and dumbness Nigerians shaking my head

One Must surfer b4 enjoyment.. Have you ever seen where a broken leg/hand is being fix without pain? Nigeria is broken and Buhari is fixing it. It could take years.. I don't care and I'm very patient..let him lay the foundation and fix out Nation.. He is very sincere and also feel out pain but that will not make him to stop he has to fix it.........he has to do it.... those that did not vote 4 him, and are not patient and wants him to fail keep complaining and praying for his failure, keep supporting the Militant, IBPO... and have empathy for Boko haram members.

Nothing you do will change.. We are on the path of progress and PBM will succeed

As much as I believe in and support this present administration, I believe it must stop hypocrisy and propaganda to make swift progress.

There are hundreds of positive things about the previous administration of which I have never (even for once) heard the present government commend or speak of.

The present administration seem to revel in blaming the past administration for its own woes.
When the past administration did somethings, it was evil then...now, when they do the same things, it becomes the best decision.

Here's an example.

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries,
OPEC, had last Friday, on its website pegged the oil price
at $66.27 per barrel.
Fashola who blasted FG for its reluctance to adjust the
pump price of PMS, made the remarks while addressing
hundreds of youths at the Lagos State and After School
Graduation Development Centre, AGDC, IGNITE
Employability Project 5, Ikeja.
He lamented that Nigerians were not receiving fair
treatment from the central government like others in oil
producing nation.
Fashola said, “Now we should be enjoying cheap fuel if
the price of oil has dropped globally. Even as we import
the product, a major component has reduced in price
and while this has reduced, the pump price of fuel in the
country still remains the same.
“Then something is wrong. If the price increases in the
country when the price of oil goes up globally, then it
should also reduce when the price of oil drops.
“I understand that I am not an economist; they (Federal
Government) are the economists. But I have some logic
and common sense to ask critical questions. For
instance, if one buy flour at N10 per kilogram, and the
bread was sold at N1 per loaf. If the price of flour drops,
the price of the bread should also change,” Fashola
added.

But Fashola once said PMS should sell for less when crude was about $70 and Gej removed #10 and now that's it's below $50 why sell @ #145?

So it means under the current administration Nigerians are the ones subsidizing the govt.

No we are not.

The subsidy is gone now. Completely.

Where are all the losers who castigated me when I said if subsidy is remove we will never buy it for less than N120/ltr cos of cost of production or imports. .I have said the only thing govt pays for to help the masses is subsidy.they should keep paying g it.and deal with the curruption round it. Not stop it hiding behind curruption.

You're actually the one that has refused to think, oil price was double of it is today during gej's era. Ironically price of forex has also doubled at the moment thereby making a folly of ur argument. Think!

Re: Fuel Subsidy Removed Officially By FG by busolakun(m): 6:13pm On May 11, 2016
we are looking at it from the few or marginal naira which is going to be expended in our individual consumption of petrol. anyway its painful in the short run, but this can be reduced by cutting down the rate of consumption. But wait a minute, let's think of those that would have lost billions of naira as income they used to get from subsidy scam/corruption. Let's embrace this change and see where it I'll leads us. I am sure we shall be glad for this decision to remove subsidy on petrol. I request the government to give us details on the pricing method so that petroleum dealers will not use this as tool to exploit the masses.

It was the right thing to do.

I opposed GEJ.....but his plan to remove the subsidy I did not oppose...because it made sense even then.

We can be thankful that our Government has the boldness to admit they were wrong...and make the necessary changes.

Anyone opposing this better recall that we are not masters of our destiny here. We need oil to be 123 USD per barrel....and right now, it sin't even at 50USD. Time we faced reality.

GEJ should have saved....but that means we would have had to take this decision next year.

God preserve Nigeria.

What justification do u have for d fact that the very oil they suck from our lands is d very one we r paying premium price for?

N hey, if u ain't been following trends, go read up n stop laying blame on Gej. Go ask amaechi , osho n all d APC governors who opposed Gej as to d saving bull u just reeled
