The courses differ from school to school. You should have a hand book na, that lists all the subjects.

Dearpiriye, Good evening ma. please, I didn't want to say this but the nudge kept coming to do so. I've been going through the earlier posts I noticed your replies to Jemmie was too steep. I mean too stern. Thought like OK, the day's stresses took its tolls on you and her Innocent comments only did a little more to get under your skin. But No! it continued for the length of time the subject lasted.
Everyone have points where presupposed limits cuts up with strength and a 'breaking' happens. That not understated, it is beautiful to not be overtaken by the impression we get. please, the mood of your comments were not the best that you could emote on a good day. we are family. if anyone amongst us doesn't get it right, it's rich in character, personality and love to say No and help open the person's eyes and corrections being done in love; and matters that get one on the edge must be treated with patience and forbearance, these are the beauties of Life.
And this ministry craves for more of these. I once learnt that "anyone who must attend to patients must first let patience attend to him"...
So, please, I believe you can do more and even greater than these. Good Grace to us all!! God bless you ma.

"Listen to your patients they are probably telling you the diagnosis.- Osler "
Clinical Med students, Doctors, House officers, Medical Officers, is the statement above true? Knowing that patients like to over exaggerate and most times they lie

Dude i think that's the whole essence of asking the patients questions upon entering the hospital, the patient gives you a lead to follow, which gives you a possible diagnosis before tests are ran... Truth is, there are tons of possible causes of a stomach ache, unless the patient points you towards a direction, you'd be spinning in circles

Lol sorry, I just felt they would have a better say as they on the inside, sorry for my over sight. But before tests come back, differential diagnosis can be gotten so some form of treatment can start? Atleast to make the patient more comfortable before proper treatment can start.
Also patients lie in history and physical exam, I know I have lied once or twice

No o... Four. According to the new Bmas, medicine is now seven years. That is if mdcn accepts. Browse about it, check the nta news on YouTube
Yeah, that they'll start from Clinicals(400level) that makes it 3years. 4years for anatomy, physiology and biochemistry them 3years for mbbs making it 7years

I'm sorry. I felt that was the nicest way *at that time* to point out my opinions. Let me put it this way. Let us try to give advice void of sentiments. I felt She was being sentimental in her advice that's why I Sort of lashedout. I'm sorry again.

Awww.. that's of a beautiful Spirit and wise personality. I commend that.) it's alright friend!) actually that's true. she was sentimental and generalized in her opinion because she was insensate of the fact. when we know better, we give better counsels.
we need to really apply that – to not just give nominal opinions that are conceited, as the established, approved model but measure our hypothesis and conceits against what truly is, outside our environs and draw our conclusions of the result we're faced with.

Yea I though so too, hence why "I think" made an appearance in my post. Buh we do know a thing or two tho

The fact is that patients are always gonna lie or exaggerate[Even med students apparentlyundecided], Its left to the doctor to not be too trusting and go with whatever his instincts suggest.

It's mindbogglingly tho, why would a patient lie, knowing one silly mistake based on wrong/poor judgement by the doctor could send him/her on a no return ticket flight, all expense paid trip to deadville?

lol... Funny enough I'm an anatomist. Lol.. Ai don't know for others, but if ai wasn't interested in medicine, ai cldve lectured. For a country like Nigeria, the best bet for an anatomist is to lecture.
