A tomato is define by the water inside, once it dry it's no longer tomato again, it's jez a mere leather with no nutrients

As a student who couldn't afford to buy the good tomatoes, the dried tomatoes is what I resolve to. The tomato is bad.

I can't eat it because I feel the nutrients would have dried up

It's even more flavourish that other tomatoes.
Just make sure it's well boiled to steam leve and well fried..You can't resist the dark color when it's done

Na today..! Even when there was no scarcity of tomatoes,we still mix it together with the fresh one.

Nice. The Ebola would have dried up, so won't be visible.

All you have to do is soaked it in hot water for some minutes and blend it. It would be very thick so you have to add a lot of water while blending it. It's colour would be some what dark brown after blending it and wonderful for stew. Even without scarcity we still use dry tomatoes.

Nothing like better dried tomatoes, if truely the dried tomatoes are not rotten before they dry it, why did they dried it and not sell it fresh?

I'm talking about now that tomatoes are gold and very expensive. Since the fresh tomatoes is what most people prefered, my question

1. Why did they dry it and not sell it to make more profit

2. Where are they getting the tomatoes they dry despite that fresh tomatoes are very scarce

3. Drying is another process for it to cost higher than the fresh tomatoes..why after drying it, it become cheaper than the fresh tomatoes that doesn't go for any processes before selling it


If you can answer those question, then I will start buying the dried tomatoes

It was dried to prevent it from rotten away. Just put in warm water and see it swell up again.

No mind the OP, I think he must be blind; besides thorough cooking would kill off any germs on them (if significant).

I'm not in support or against it , I know it's been done for ages even before the scarcity and there are people with preference for dried tomato, someone even mentioned that she buys fresh tomato and dries it herself. I believe I've answered your first question. As for the third question, drying reduces it's weight and size which means more of it can be transported for less thereby reducing it's final cost.
