Lahm is better defensively,Alves gives a lot more than defence from his RB position.By the way, Alves is a better passer IMO,lahm mostly makes short passes .You can hardly blame Alves for having worse positioning than Lahm considering the role he plays for barça.

I'm yet to get a grip of myself over Alves departure! Anytime I see his name mentioned, I feel so emotional, and while watching this video, I was almost moved to physical tears, but I was crying in my mind

Alves was such a good, rare spirit! So sad he is moving on! And to think that some years back we all wanted him gone I hope we get someone like you again.
