The only feasible thing that might happen, is for the respective institution to set its own cut-off point, using JAMB score as baseline determinant for setting the cut-off!

You are a joker! I suppose you don't know what you are saying. It will instead give more room for those who have connections. Oau for instance, there no way you will get admission without scoring 200 and above in both your utme and post jamb even if your father is the VC. Though, you can enter through PD. But now, tell me the panels to organize the screening are computers.

anyway , the idea is ok , atleast , the joint admission and matriculation examination is even more superior , i concur with the following suspends .

yeah not everyone can boldly answer oral interviews especially those who just left secondary schools. I attended the oral interview 2008 and I can say the questions were actually fair. mostly things taught in ss1.

Biko let me inform all you jambites nd Pee'dites that schools will conduct some sort of screening ecxercise which they will not call Post Utme and of course you'l be asked to pay some dues anyways..so don't be overjoyous..I work with a university and am telling you from a reliable source,and is exactly what all tertiary institutions will do..you can't just expect them to shut down a source of internally generated revenue when this same govt.themselves know what schools are passing through financially..

to me, I think the FG as done good thing cos I don't see reason why candidate seeking for admission need to seat for two exams before gaining admission and for who think this decision from FG we breed bribery and corruption let me tell you the truth I no. if you like score the whole mark in putme might not got u admitted. I remember 2012, I scored 57 in putme and the department cut off mark is 63 could u believe I was not admitted and what pained me must is dat those who score below me were admitted. I no this because I did a semester with the jambite then hoping for another list, i got to no later that i should have used kabukabu and long leg. there's high level of corruption in putme too.
what I clamour for is dat one need to be scrap and to the shame of extorters putme is the victim.

It depend on the school, If you got your diploma from the same school, you just have to buy the form, fill it and submit with your credential attached to it...

But if its another polytechnic, you need to get the transcript of your diploma result sent there and their mode of admission will be made known to you through the media...

But not all polytechnic conduct exams for those seeking for its HND programme...

they calculate your points using your O level result and your jamb score. The higher your grades and jamb score, the higher your point. different courses have different points. you'll be called for an interview for the course your point falls in. for example, you want to study MBBS and it's point is 70, but you have 50, you'll be invited for interview based on the course(s) with 50 point. if you scale through, admission is yours.

Nice one from FG once again. Post-UTME is an avenue of embezzling money by school managements.
FG should also look into, all this predegree programmes, remedial, diploma and DLI programmes.

based on how its done in Unilag, no entrance exam is conducted for DE applicants......they'll arrange d appplicants result from highest to lowest n they pick those with d highest CGPA or point..........Other universities may also apply this method.......And yes, they'll still need to buy jamb DE form
