I am my baby now I delievered in Methodist Sugarland
I paid 2538 for vd
Doctor 2400 and 200 for test
Pediatrician 200
I thought that was my bill but today I received another bill for usd 746,50 it says nursery and labs? The hospital is nice but i did not be very satisfied with all, and worse with this new bill that I never imagine why they are charging me I thought it was included in the package, so mamas be carefull ask for everything then they just send the bills it is not fair

From what i read here u can get d consent form and notarize it before LO arrives. Its valid for 3months.

Mamas in the house correct me if am wrong oo.

Yes greatie. I did mention that the form is valid for three months from the date of seal however it is also important to mention the following

A) d form requires the babies date of birth and unless you are having a scheduled csection (in which case even baby may still come before scheduled date) you cannot assertively tell date of birth.

B) if you decide to leave the date of birth blank as has been mentioned on the thread, then the notary shouldnt legally sign it because he cannot attest what he does not know... And please lets remember its ilegal and not encourage it.
A notorised form is simply an attestation (leagl oath) that the details contained are true. Falsifying such records are criminal and can be prosecuted.

C) some states do not accept consent forms notorised outside the US consulate.

Please note my intention is not to scare anybody but in d spirit of truthfulness and redeeming Niigerias image, i would advise against pre-filing.

Hello mama's
Pls I need help,am due in July and DH is not going to be around for passport
He is traveling out of Nigeria nextweek and won't be back for like 3months,now my question is:
1.can he get the notarisation for the passport without the baby been born yet?
2.or can he go to any US embassy where he is traveling to,to get it signed
Pls help a sister...thanks

My advice:
Please ask your hubby to visit the American Consulate in the country where he would be at the time of the childs birth. As long as he is legally present there, he will be attended to. His international passport and visa or entry permit would be used as Identification.

Although some judges are notaries, not all notaries are judges. I personally advocate going to the embassy for the following reasons
a) TS FREE
b) some states do not accept consent forms notorised outside the embassy. So u may have to inquire about the practise where you are.
c) where an error exists on d form, they are more likely to still issue a temporary passport based on authenticity by the embassy.
d) d document is considered genuine and unquestionable

Yeah, that preggy momma whose husband is British but was denied UK visa and is now looking to birth in US!
If you can birth in US, by all means do so! Your husband probably got his ' British citizenship by descent' and not naturalisation! So basically, his mum passed it down to him.
If your husband was born abroad and acquired 'British citizenship by descent', any child you give birth to outside UK will not automatically qualify for British citizenship from birth! You will apply for entry clearance first then ILR after!

If ur husband got his citizenship without it being passed down to him, then ur children will be British automatically!

Hey Jinglesbaby, am that preggy mama,

my hubby got it on his own without being passed down to him, but the application process no b here and wish I can apply for the UK visa but time is of the essence hence the need to try the US one, am just trying to put all documents and correspondence in place before I apply.hopefully in time before this LO show.

Thanks for the response your appreciated..@lady G why has thou abandoned me..**sheds a tear***

OK, here we go:

After successfully paying North side via Form A, got 2k PTA from gtbank, submitted my medical forms @ Qatar office a week to my travel date. I felt I was ready to travel

Boarded Qatar airways @34 weeks. Wore my compression socks during the flight and walked around. Was lodged at the Airport hotel during the 9hour layover (my room was on point!). Almost overslept but thanks to the wake up call set by reception....hehehehehe.

The flight from Doha to Atlanta was 15 hours long but I was pampered by the cabin crew.

Arrived Atlanta, was on the queue for 35 mins and was interviewed by a middle aged white guy:

Me: Hello
CBP: Hello
CBP: Where are you coming from?
Me: Nigeria
CBP: Why are you here in Atlanta?
Me: To have my baby! (Smiling hugely)
CBP: So have you paid all your hospital bills?
Me: Yes but yet to pay the doctor's fee
CBP: How much cash do you have on you
Me: 2,000usd
CBP: He was surprised. So you are only here with doctor's money?
Me: of course not. Am with my Master card. I do not like to carry so much cash.
CBP: So you came all the way to America just to have your baby?
Me: Yes because its my first and I want the best healthcare for both of us.
CBP: Do you have any food
Me: yes. Garrison, Egusi, bitter kola, kolanut etc

He stamped me in for 6 months and sent me to agriculture. Throughout the encounter, I did not show him any evidence of any kind. The only document I held was my passport and customs declaration form.

At agriculture, no food item was seized. I was specifically asked for gala, garri and egusi. I said no to gala and yes to the others. My bag was opened after it was scanned but nothing was seized.

That's it folks. Chilling with my in laws and eating naija food....hehehe.

I applied first week in May (not sure of the exact date) at another branch and I was called on may 31st to go to yaba branch to pick it up.

Hospital bill was paid through another bank.
